After the workout is over, do not forget to cool down by lying down on the mat for five minutes.

Crunches: You all know how to perform crunches but there are many ways you can do that. The normal crunches involve lying flat on the floor bending your knees and keeping your hands on the either sides or placing them behind the head. After that you raise your upper body towards the knees. It helps you strengthen your abdominal muscles. To fortify the pelvis and oblique muscles you can perform reverse crunches and oblique crossover crunches. For more fun you can also perform abdominal exercises with exercise ball that would also provide the support to your back while performing crunches.

Back Extensions: Bach extensions help you strengthen your back muscles and also help you stay away from the back problems. Lie on your stomach on the exercise ball or on the bed keeping your upper body in the air. Place your hands on the chest in a crossover position. Now bend down your upper body and bring it back to the parallel level and raise it little higher. Do 10 to 15 repetitions.

Yoga: There are various yoga exercises and power yoga activities that help you strengthen the core muscles. Asanas such as, bhujangasan, dhanurasan and halasan help you strengthen the back, abdomen, pelvis and shoulder girdle. Regular yoga also helps you build the overall health and achieve you fitness goal.
