A person needs to be innovative, fluent in the language, must possess excellent grammar knowledge and communication skills and should have an understanding of the needs or demands of clients, writing skills, eye for detail and above all, must be able to work under stringent deadlines. Speaking about the formal education to seek a copywriter's job; a graduation degree is the minimum requirement to enter the field. Graduation, diploma or an advanced diploma in journalism is an added advantage. Courses in creative writing, business administration, marketing, etc., would contribute to your assets and preference amongst the employers!

Salary of Copywriter

It is education, experience and most importantly performance, that matter most, when it comes to salary range. In case of freshmen, salary of a copywriter is somewhere around, USD 30000 - USD 35000. However, the more experienced (5 - 10 years) get paid around, USD 40000 - USD 60000. People who have been in copywriting for about 10-20 years, earn anywhere around, USD 40000 - USD 70000. To sum up, we can say that the average salary of a copywriter is about USD 50000 - USD 55000. Nonetheless, the organization's size also has an important role to play in the expected salary.
