How to Burn and Copy PS2 Games

The Sony PlayStation series, often shortened as the PS series are a set of video game consoles that have been developed and produced by Sony Computer Entertainment. The PS2 started a revolution in the production of video games. Their development is significant because of the fact that the basic design of the video game console changed. The PS2 designs differ radically from the conventional video game consoles. The PlayStation is a sixth generation gadget and makes the use of CD and DVD drives for installation of games. The data storage of the PlayStation series is done with the help of a memory card. The conventional video game consoles used different cards that were also known as ROM cartridges, to enable the player to play the game. How to Burn and Copy PS2 Games to a CD or DVD

Copying PS2 games or burning them on CD or DVD is not very difficult or complicated. It is a simple process and is very similar to the process of burning a normal CD or DVD.

Requirements:
For burning or copying PS2 games one needs a PS2 game CD / DVD and a computer with a CD or DVD burner. A blank CD / DVD is also required for this purpose and a CD / DVD burning software needs to be installed in the system.

Procedure:
First place the PS2 game CD / DVD in the CD reader cum burner of the computer. The next step is to start the software that is used to burn CDs and DVDs. Any other burning software can be used for the purpose but it is preferable to use the DVD Decryptor software. After the PS2 game CD has been inserted in the computer, click open the 'Tool bar' option. Then click open the 'Mode' and 'ISO' options that are in the 'tool bar'. After the ISO option has been opened, click on the 'read' option that is available in the ISO option. Then click on the 'decrypt' option so that the total game is copied on to the hard disk of your computer. Replace the PS2 game CD / DVD with a blank CD / DVD. After you put in the new CD / DVD go to the 'tool bar' option, open 'mode' menu and 'ISO' menu, and click the 'write' option. After you have selected the 'write' option, a pop-up window appears where you need to select the PS2 game file that has been earlier copied on to the hard disk of your computer. After you have selected the game file, click the write option. Wait for a few moments as the computer burns the CD / DVD and then give it a trial run. One must note that any other CD / DVD burning software can also be used to burn and copy a PS2 game.

The CD / DVD that you have burnt, can be given to friends, used on your PS2 or can also be used as a backup for your video game collection. In fact it is advisable that a safer way is to purchase an original PS2 game CD, write a blank CD and use it while playing video games on your PS2 and store the original CD as a backup.
