Cool Skateboard Tricks
Here are a few cool skateboard tricks that are easy to do, yet look impressive at the same time. The key is to be confident that you can pull them off, and to practice them properly before showing them off to someone.

It must be mentioned that learning some of these tricks is even dangerous, as falls from a skateboard are quite common and are usually quite painful. Attempting to do some tricks that you have never tried before, inevitably means that you may have to face more than a few falls and stumbles along the way. It is important to wear a helmet and all other safety and protective equipment when learning.
Skateboard Tricks You Can Learn
Given here are some tricks that can be performed pretty much anywhere with place to skate. There are no obstacles or ramps required, and all you need is your skateboard and some space to maneuver in.
Ollie
This is the most basic skateboarding trick and it proves useful in order to learn many other advanced tricks as well. Anyone teaching you the tricks for beginners will always emphasize the importance of the ollie. Place both your feet shoulder length apart on the board perpendicular to it, and place your body to face sideways. Your feet too, are thus sideways on the board. Now push the foot on the tail of the board downwards, while ensuring that it does not touch the ground, and jump up high into the air. When in the air, straighten out the board horizontally, and you can do so by moving your front foot to the front edge of the board. Be prepared for the landing and adjust your knees to absorb the impact. After practicing it a few times you will be able to master the art of balancing yourself when landing from an ollie. Once you are good at it, you can try a moving ollie.
Shifty
Once you have learned how to ollie you can find many different variations to the trick. You can even come up with a few of your own signature moves that can dazzle people. One such trick is the shifty. When you are in the air you can turn 180 degrees, and the shifty is a move where you turn only 90 degrees and then return to your original position. The appearance of this trick depends on your skills and you can make it look goofy and funny, or sophisticated and classy.
Walking With the Board
This is a very simple trick to do and every skater can carry it out with minimum fuss and effort. Stand on the board with one foot on the front edge and the other foot on the back edge. Now push the front foot down so that the back part rises up and makes you turn at a 45 degree angle. Now do the same with the back foot. When done quickly in succession it gives the impression that one is walking with the skateboard. Admittedly, this is not a very difficult trick, but it can really amuse spectators if it is done correctly.
Once you have managed to do these simple, yet brilliant tricks, you can attempt some complicated and risky tricks as well. Anyone who tries off more complex tricks must obviously be a seasoned skater and should have some experience behind him. Trying to pull off some fancy tricks in order to impress people without a lot of practice is not advisable, especially if it is done without the proper safety gear.
