Gimme Five/Give Your Paw Trick

Does your dog know the "Gimme five" trick? If not, you must teach your dog a gimme five or shake hands trick. This is a really cute dog trick. First you need to tell your dog to sit. I am assuming that you would have taught him the "Sit" command. So, after your dog sits down, very gently extend your hand to hold his paw. As you hold his paw with one hand, very clearly mention the words "Gimme five" and hand him his favorite treat with the other hand. A little practice would make your dog understand this trick.

Wave Trick

This is an easy dog trick. If your dog has mastered the give your paw trick, you can now try to teach him how to wave. First give the "Sit" command and then say "give your paw wave" to your dog, once your dog lifts up his paw, instead of touching his paw, raise your hand, your dog might try to reach your hand by lifting his feet, at this time, pull back your hand. I know your dog must be wondering why you didn't let him do a gimme five, but still give him a treat. Begin by saying "go to your spot" and take your dog to that spot and ask him to sit down. If your dog stays in the spot for some time, clap and hand over something yummy. Gimme a Kiss Trick

Though most of the dogs are very loving and express their love every now and then, you could teach your dog to kiss when you ask them to. Roll Over Trick

For teaching your dog how to roll over, give him an instruction to sit down. When your dog responds to the "Down" command, you need to kneel down next to him and make him roll over and say "Roll over" clearly. Play Dead

You could teach another cool dog trick, without much effort. You could try to teach the play dead trick when your dog has been very active and wants to rest. When he is on his spot, give him the "Down" command, once he leans over to one side, give him a gentle push and say "play dead". Praise him as he rolls over and show some affection.
