Easy Recipes for Cooking with Kids:

Delicious Chocolate Truffles:
Chocolate is a huge favorite with most kids, so why not try these easy chocolate truffles with your children.

Ingredients
Chocolate chunks (175g- it could be milk, plain or white)
Digestive biscuits (100g)
Softened butter (50g)
Sieved icing sugar (50g)
Cocoa powder

Preparation:
First, crush around 100g of the digestive biscuits. Then help your child to melt the chocolate in the microwave. Add around 50g of softened butter to the chocolate along with the icing sugar and the crushed biscuits. Mix this well and place it in the refrigerator. A duration of 10 minutes would work fine. Use a teaspoon and roll some of this into a ball. Cover it with cocoa powder and place the truffle in a paper truffle case. Your yummy chocolate truffle is ready to be gulped down.

Strawberry Smoothie Recipe:
Younger kids may need assistance with this recipe. This is very delicious recipe for the summer season.

Ingredients:
Sliced strawberries in syrup (2 pkg. frozen)
Lemonade (3/4 cup)

You will need to mix both the ingredients in a blender or a food processor. Blend till it smoothens. Once it blends well, turn off the blender and scrape the sides. Blend this again and once it smoothens, pour it into another container and place it in the refrigerator. Once frozen, your summer treat will be ready for your friends and family!

Healthy Strawberry-Banana Shake:
This can be an ideal breakfast item! Use this with your regular snacks and have a healthy breakfast option.

Ingredients:
Frozen unsweetened strawberries (1/2 cup)
Medium banana - peeled, cut into chunks (1/2)
Orange juice - freshly squeezed (1/2 cup)
Plain low-fat yogurt (3 Tablespoons)

Preparation:
Place all the ingredients in a blender. Blend till it smoothens.
