Cooking Tips : How to Make a Steak from Snails
Metric units are not suitable to measure ingredients for a snail steak.
Having been lecturing on issues of experimental science and measurements in SI units, I was bewildered to listen to a speech of Mr Wayne Nefdt, Chef The Wild Kitchen in George, Garden Route, South Africa:
"...As for quantities used in recipe, I talk in pinches and handful. Cooking comes from the heart and is passionate. How can you measure passion in terms of grams and millimeters??"
