Are you searching for recipe of sirloin tip roast? If yes, you are at the right place as here is where you will find the instructions that will help you in cooking this delicacy.

Methods of Cooking Sirloin Roast Tip
The most common method of cooking sirloin roast is roasting. Though roasting gives it the best flavor, overcooking it can make the meat very dry. Hence, the most important thing one should have while cooking this dish is a digital thermometer. This will help you to know the internal temperature of the meat correctly. Also, the best way of roasting the meat is by cooking it slowly at a very low temperature for a long time. So, let us take a look at the ways of making sirloin tip roast beef.
Roasting Sirloin Tip Beef
Take the sirloin tip roast from the refrigerator and allow it to warm at room temperature for at least an hour. This is important because cooking a cold sirloin tip roast may make it very dry and hard. Also, allowing it to warm can speed up the roasting process. Check the temperature of the roast occasionally and when it reaches 500 degrees F, season it with salt, pepper and other seasonings of your choice. Drizzle vegetable oil over the roast and place it on the roasting pan. Keep the roasting pan in a preheated oven and cook on a high temperature for at least twenty minutes. Once this is done, the next step would be to roast the meat on a low temperature. Reduce the temperature of the oven to 250 degrees F and attach a digital thermometer to it to check its internal temperature. Cook the roast till the internal temperature reaches 140-150 degrees F for medium cooked and 160-170 degrees F for completely cooked sirloin tip roast. After this is done, do not cut the meat immediately for consumption. This is because cutting the roast soon after it is done, may allow the juices inside to run out, leaving you with a dry meat. So, cover it with an aluminum foil and allow it to sit for at least twenty minutes. After this time period, take it off from the aluminum foil and slice it into thin pieces.
Cooking in Crock Pot
Another way of cooking is with the help of a crock pot. The crock pot cooks food very slowly which is the best way of getting a well cooked sirloin tip roast. For this crock pot recipe, you will require:
- 3-4 lb sirloin tip roast
- 5-6 medium red potatoes, cut into 1-2 inch pieces
- 3 chicken bouillon cubes
- ½ small bag baby carrots
- Salt and pepper- as per taste
- All-purpose flour- to cover roast
- 1½ cup of water
- Garlic salt- to cover roast
- 3 teaspoons minced garlic
- 3-4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- ¾ cup boiling water (optional)
As I have said earlier, one of the most important things that has to be taken care of while cooking the roast is the temperature of the meat. Any change in this will leave you with an uncooked or may be an overcooked sirloin tip roast. Once you keep this in mind, cooking sirloin becomes quite an easy task.
