Steaming Crab Legs
- In a steamer or a large pot pour 2 cups of water, add 1 tablespoon of salt to the water and bring it to a boil.
- Place the crab legs into the steaming basket and place the steaming basket into the steamer for cooking king crab legs.
- When the water comes to a boil again, start the timer.
- After about 5 to 7 minutes, you will begin to smell their aroma.
- Alternatively, you can touch the crab legs, to check whether they have become warm enough.
- Take care not to overcook the crab legs, as they are already cooked.
- Remove the legs from heat and serve them hot with melted butter and lemon wedges.
- Boiling crab legs is easy, so you do not have to worry, even if you are boiling them for the first time.
- Simply fill a large saucepan half full of water and bring the water to a boil.
- Add one tablespoon of salt and seasoning of your choice to water.
- When the water begins to boil, add the crab legs to the water and reduce the heat to medium low.
- Allow the crab legs to simmer for about six minutes.
- Once they are cooked, remove the crab legs from water, rinse them and they are ready to be savored.
- Brush crab legs with olive oil on all sides, to prevent them from sticking to the grill before grilling them.
- Place the crab legs on hot grill of about 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Cook on both the sides for about 5 minutes each until they are heated all the way through.
- Turn them in between to prevent them from burning.
- Remove the legs from the grill and serve with melted butter and lemon wedges or with sauce of your choice.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit, to bake crab legs.
- Crack open the whole crab legs and place them on a baking tray.
- Brush the legs with butter or olive oil, seasoning of your choice, and lemon juice and place them in a baking tray.
- Bake in the oven for 8 to 9 minutes, until they are thoroughly cooked.
- When you want to microwave the crab legs, wrap them in a damp paper towel.
- Place them in the microwave and cook on high for 2 to 4 minutes, until they are well cooked.
- Serve them hot with melted butter and lemon wedges or sauce of your choice.
