Cook Rib Eye Steak

Cook Rib Eye Steak in Oven

Ingredients
  • 6 ounces rib eye steak
  • 6 Pepperidge Farm frozen puff pastry shells
  • 3 tablespoons Lipton onion soup
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and diced into cubes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons catsup (or ketchup)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Preparation

Trim the rib eye steak off the fat and cut them into cubes of similar size. In a medium-sized bowl, add the cut potatoes, rib eye steak, Worcestershire sauce, onion soup mix, parsley and ketchup and combine the ingredients properly with a spatula. Roll the pastry shell in the all-purpose flour till it forms a 7 inch layer. Stuff the beef and vegetable mix to the shell and seal the edges with water so that the stuffing does not come out. Slit the top of the shells with the help of a fork and place them in a baking dish. Bake the shells in a preheated oven at 205 ºC for about 20 minutes till they turn golden brown in color.

Slow Cook Swiss Rib Eye Steak Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1½ pounds rib eye steak
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 stalks celery, cut into 2'' pieces
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 jar sliced mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • Salt to taste
Preparation

In a medium-sized plate, prepare a mixture of flour, salt and pepper. Coat the steak in this flour mixture and keep aside. In a flat bottom skillet, melt the butter. After the butter has melted add 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil and allow the oil to heat. After the oil becomes hot, cook the flour coated steak for about 10 to 15 minutes till it becomes golden brown on all sides. Place this cooked steak in a slow cooker and add the onion and celery on top. Now mix the mushrooms and stewed tomatoes with the beef and vegetables. Cover the cooker with a lid and cook the beef on a low flame for about 7 to 8 hours till the meat becomes tender. If you want a thick gravy, you can also mix cornstarch.

Rib Eye Steak with Peppers

Ingredients
  • 1½ pounds rib eye steak
  • 2 large green peppers, cut into stripes
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 4 medium-sized tomatoes, cut into cubes
  • ¼ teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup cold water
  • Salt to taste
Preparation

In a saucepan, heat the canola oil and cook the beef till the meat turns tender and brown in color. In a small bowl, add soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger paste, onions, sugar, pepper and salt to taste and mix well. Now transfer the roast beef to a slow cooker and pour the mixture on top. Cover the cooker with a lid and cook it on a low flame for about 5 hours. Remove the lid and add the green peppers and tomatoes and cook for 1 hour more. For a thicker gravy, mix cornstarch with cold water and add this stock to the beef. Cook this mixture on a high heat. Transfer this rib eye steak gravy to a serving dish and serve with rice or noodles.
