Converses and Rose Colored Dreams 8

"Um..hey.." Gage shuddered looking up at the furious Ace standing over us. All Ace did was glare down at us. Finally the ackward silence was broken when Ace been down and grabbed my elbow housting me up beside him and off of Gage.
"Hey!" I complained and tried to wiggle away from his iron grasp.
"What the hell are you doing?" Ace growled.
"Um..KISSING my BOYFRIEND!!?!?!" I shouted.
"I don't recall us ever breaking up," he hissed.
"Well I thought you kinda got the point after I ran off LEAVING YOU IN THE WOODS!" I shouted. Ace brought up his hand and smacked me across the cheek. I looked at him shocked. His eyes were wide with surprise and sadness that he had just done that.

"Get away from her!" Gage screamed and pushed Ace away from me and pulled me behind him. "If you ever EVER touch her again I will PERSONALLY tear your head off pretty boy!" Before Ace could answer the tears began to fall and I started crying. Still shocked for what Ace had done to me. My cheek stung and the salt in my tears made it burn even more. Gage's attention turned right to me and he picked me up cradling me in his arms as I cried. I glanced at Ace over Gage's shoulder as he started bringing me to the house Ace just stood in the sand staring at me. His mint green eyes shining with shame and longing. As I turned my head away I saw a cheek streak Ace's handsome face.

When we got up to the house it was late. Gage carried me into my room and we parted ways to change into out pajamas and take showers. I crawled out of the shower and lay in my soft bed. I pulled the sheets up to my nose and thought about what happened to Ace. Part of me was angry at him and the other pitched him. It was because of me he was feeling down. I had made him jealous...but I didn't want to stop. I wanted to ACTUALLY be with Gage. The way he stuck up for me today was...amazing. I would have had a breakdown if it wasn't for him. He really was always there for me when we were kids, and he still is.

"Hey," a voice whispered in my ear. I turned to see Gage crawling into my bed. I grinned and pulled him under the covers giggling. He was wearing only boxers and I felt my blood run hot. I cuddled deeply into his warm comforting body. His arms wound around me and his hands softly massaged my back. I moaned softly as he found a knot and worked it out slowly. I felt my body instantly relax as he found another knot in my lower back and softly rubbed it with his fingers making it loosing and disappear. It was like he lifted a hundred pounds off my back. There was one more in my neck I could feel it.

I grabbed his left hand behind my back and moved it to where it hurt in my neck. He felt how tight this knot was, "wow hun your really stressed," all I did was nod and press my face against his warm chest. His wondrous fingers relieved the pressure in my neck and I pecked him on the lips in thanks. He smiled down at me. I yawned and slowly I felt myself slip into a half way asleep state. I could still hear Gage's breathing and under his breath I heard him humming a random lullabyish tune. That was the last thing as a deep dark sleep took over me.

I woke up and Gage was gone. I sighed and chuckled, he always was an early bird. I crawled out of bed and shuffled downstairs. "Morning sleepy head," Mary giggled as she made pancakes.
"Ooo those smell yummy," I smiled and stood next to her. "Chocolate chip!?" My eyes got wide and I smiled.
"Yep your favorite," she grinned. Instantly my face fell.
"Wha'd ya do?" I asked.
"Huh?" she was wide eyed.
"You made my favorite breakfast, you had to have done something wrong. Is my car scratched? Did you break my skateboard? TELL ME!"

"A friend has to do something wrong to make her bestie her favorite breakfast?"
"No, but you do," I glared.
"All right! All right! I may have...accidentally...." then she mumbled something.
"Huh?" I asked. But she inaudibly mumbled the answer again.
"JUST SAY IT!"
"Ok ok!! I got grape juice on your white shirt I borrowed for the party last night!!" She winced as she waited for my reaction. I jus looked at her with a straight face, grabbed a pancake and walked off.
"AREN'T YOU MAD?" She called after me.
"I DESPISED THAT TOP!" I shouted back and heard her sigh with relief then chuckle.
"Good morning." I greated Gage sitting on the couch flippin through channels on the TV.

"Hey there baby girl! How are you?" He said leaning over kissing my cheek.
"Sleepy," I mumbled.
"Aww," he cooed and pulled me up against his side and we watched bugs bunny together curled up on the couch. I saw Ace come down the stairs and on instinct I pulled away from Gage and went to the complete opposite side of the couch. Gage's blue eyes got a look of pure hatered in them. I grabbed his hand and stroked the top of it with my thumb. I felt his body relax as Ace passed into the kitchen.
"You ok hun?" I whispered. Gage nodded and breathed deeply trying to calm himself. Mary and I both knew Gage had a big anger problem. His dad was an alcoholic for a big portion of Gage's life and beat him. It made Gage tough and fighting has been his instinct ever since. But his dad got help and now is the sweetest guy you'll ever meet.
I patted his leg and he gave me a small smile.

***Gages POV***
Lina always knew how to calm me down. As soon as her small hand clasped mine, my angry thoughts were chased away by the sparks now flowing through my body. Her piercing eyes stared at me widely with concern. I gave her a soft smile to show Id be ok. She rested her head on my shoulder and I pulled her into my lap. "Thank you," I whispered in her ear.
"No problem," she grinned up at me. The girl I held in my arms was beautiful,outside, and deffinatly inside. Her smile lit up her whole face. I kissed her smiling lips, not because im her fake boyfriend, or I knew Ace was watching from a crack in the door, but because I wanted to. Her soft lips molded around mine and I kissed her with all the passion I'd been hiding from her since we were younger. A giant spark flew between our lips. One like I've never felt. I heard her gasp and pulled back. Her eyes were wide.

"Did you feel that?" I whispered. She nodded slowly. "Lina...I...I love you.." Her eyes got wide.
"Oh Gage don't say that," she blinked rapidly.
"Why not? I've loved you since we were little! You were the only one who could calm me down. And when my dad got drunk, id climb up your tree and sneak in your room and youd comfort me while I cried. And when I got jumped by that gang, it was YOU who took care of me. And remember when I lost my sister in that car accident!? It was you, and only you who made me feel again, who took the pain away, who helped me let her go, not that stupid shrink. Lina, I know i love you and I dont care if you don't love me back, you need to know how I feel." My hands were on either side of her face, my thumbs stroking her cheeks.
She just sat there wide eyed, silent tears slowly filled her eyes. "Please. Say something!" I murmured.
"I..I love you to." she whispered and a grin spread across her gorgeous face.

***Lina's POV***
I told Gage I loved him and ment it. It was the first time I've EVER told another person that outside my family. The words burned on my lips. His eyes shined as he brought his lips to mine as soon as I said the three magic words. "Ill make you happy," he whispered in between a kiss. My fingers twisted in his hair pulling him closer to me. "I love you I love you I love you," he kept murmuring against my lips. My breathing got uneven as the words made my heart pump faster. Slowly our kiss slowed until finally I pulled away. I rested my forehead against his. His hand went to mine and clutched it. He brought my palm to his mouth and his soft lips kissed it softly making my mouth go dry.

"eeeeep!!!" Mary squealed and then jumped on the couch ruining the mood. "My two bestest friends in WUUUUV!!" She giggled laying across our laps. Gage giggled and I started tickling her til we fell to the floor laughing. "I'm happy for you," Mary whispered in my ear. I grinned at her and hugged her.
"Is this a lesbo fest!?" Jake the pervy jock joked as he saw us hugging. Mary hitched her leg on my hip.
"You wish," she said seductively then pushed me away from her and started laughing at my surprised look. Mary ran off being chased by Jake and giggling. Gage shook his head and helped me up.
"She knows how to ruin a moment," he chuckled putting his fingers in the belt loops of my robe and pulling me against his body.
"She's known how to since we were 4." I laughed.
Mary is crazy, I realized it a long time ago.

***Late that night****

"Lina! Get your BUTT out here!" I heard Mary call my name from the pool. I shrug to Gage and walk outside slowly looking around the pool.
"Mary?" I call. "Where are you?"
"Here!" She whispered in my ear and pushed me in the pool but I grabbed her arm and she fell in with me. We were laughing hysterically by the time we made our way to the surface. I started splashing Mary and we swam around in our clothes til she jumped out and ran inside. I stayed there and flung my soaked robe on the ground. I swam around in my cami and pajama shorts. I floated on my back and took deep breathes, feeling like I was on cloud 9. It was then I felt someone staring at me. I looked up to see Ace sitting in one of the beach chairs watching me. I backed up to the corner in the pool farthest away from his chair and stared back. He suddenly looked amused. I looked down to see what he was staring at and realized the cami I was wearing was 100% see through when wet!!

I gasped and crossed my arms over my chest. He looked amused then pulled his shirt over his head. I cleared my throat nervously. Then slowly he pulled his shorts off. I turned around and quickly swam across the HUGE pool til I got to the water fall. I swam behind it and went to the dark part of the cave it covered and crawled up on the rocks and into a hole Mary and I dug out when we were younger for a secret hiding place. I hugged my knees to my chest as I heard a splash as Ace dived in. My breathing picked up. I pressed my back to the cool wall and breathed deeply. I waited there for a long time and everything was silent. I opened my eyes and peeked around the corner. Ace had left. I breathed a sigh of relief and dived down into the deep water in the cave.

The moonlight shimmered through the waterfall making the water look bright blue. I was just relaxing when two hands grabbed my waist from behind.
I screamed and one of the hands rushed up to cover my mouth. The person who was KIDNAPPING me. The hands pulled me up on the rock and stroked my lips with their finger. Shivers ran through my spine. "Don't scream a deep voice whispered in my ear from behind. The hand left my mouth and went to my eyes. My breathing was deep. I was frightened but curious. Softly I peeled the hand away from my eyes and came face to face with eyes. Instantly tears filled my eyes.

His mint green eyes burned into mine. We sat there in silence searching each others eyes. Gage's handsome face filled my minds eyes. Thinking of Gage immediately made me look away from Ace. Guilt flooded me. I didn't want to be out here cold with Ace. I knew where I wanted to be. I jumped off the rock and swam to the house. I ran to my room, showered, put new pajamas on, and quietly made my way down the hall to Gage's room. Softly I opened the door not to wake him. One of his arms was thrown over his forehead, the other's hand was curled in a fist and resting on his stomach. I smiled and tiptoed into the room.

Slowly I crawled onto the bed and snuck under the sheets. I could here Gage's deep breathing. I got on one elbow right by him and stroked his cheek with my other hand.
Gage's eyes opened and he smiled when he saw me leaning over him. His arms wound around my waist and hugged me to his body. I layed my head on his chest and his fingers moved my long damp hair and stroked softly up and down the back of my neck. I sighed happily and closed my eyes.
"I love you," I whispered. I felt him shiver with pleasure.
"I love you to." he replied. He pulled me close and kissed me on the lips softly and slowly. His lips whispering love to mine. The only sounds were his ceiling fan whirring, our lips moving, and our bodies moving to get closer. We curled up together and we fell asleep, our arms gripping each other tightly.
