***Weeks later****

Ah, finally the last day of school. Graduation was hell with crying parents and having to see my mom crying and my dad trying not to and blaming it on dust.
I was sitting in my last class, my mind in California, excited for a summer across the United States on the beach. Mary threw a note at me that hit me square in the chest making me blink rapidly. I opened it and in loopy letters it said,
HEY, I HAVE AN IDEA FOR YOU TO GET BACK AT ACE.
HOW?! I wrote back excitedly.

ILL INVITE HIM TO THE BEACH HOUSE. BEFORE HE ARRIVES WE'LL GET GAGE TO POSE AS YOUR BOYFRIEND AND MAKE ACE JEALOUS. It said back. Gage is my best friend, has been since kindergarten but he moved away before Ace came. It was a brilliant idea, I looked at Mary and nodded my approvle and the idea. She gave me a big devious smile and started composing a note that would go to Ace as his formal invitation. I glanced at Ace who nodded with a smile on his face as an exception to the last minute invite.

She gave me a crooked grin and winked and i bit my smiling lip. The bell rang and I got on my desk, "HELL YA! LATER YA LOSER!" I shouted at my clearly P.Oed English teacher.
"You are still in school Arelina, please control yourself,"
"Uh huh ok, but Im sure you can't wait to have my brothers in your class, am i right?" i giggled and jumped onto Mary's back as she gave me a piggy back ride out of the school.
"NEXT STOP, CALIFORNIA!!!" She shouted as we ran to my car.

****In Cali****

I fell asleep in the back seat of Mary's car. I woke up to my nose pressed against the leather seats. "Wakey wakey," Mary shouts back at me.
"No. Sleepy. Long drive." I mumbled curling back up in a tight comfortable ball. Mary gave a frustrated grunt and grabbed her dice of her mirror and throw them at me. I groaned in a complaint and pulled the dice that was now tightly coiled around my neck off and threw them back.
"Lina, we're here please get up!" she slapped my butt making me finally sit up. I rubbed my eyes sleepily and crawled out of the car.

The beach house was GIANT. It had lots of windows and the I could hear the ocean calling me. I wanted to go down and swim so bad. "Come on Lina! We get first picks on bedrooms!" I ran inside giggling like a madman with Mary poking my side and cackling. When we reached the stairs it was a both of us going at the same time. I pushed her against the wall and ran ahead of her. But she grabbed my ankle making me fall to the ground with an "umph!" Both she and I were crawling up the stairs now. I was red in the face from laughing. Finally we made it to the top and I chose the room at the end of the hall.

It was very big and open. The bedspread was a pretty black and the pillows were white with black designs sewn on the surfaces. The window had a beautiful view of the beach and I could hear sea birds singing away outside. The carpet was white and soft as my feet sank in to it. The whole room was white with black accents here and there making it look for modern. It was perfect. The bathroom was huge and had the same color screen to it.
"LINA!!! MARY!!" an all to familiar voice called up the stairs. I felt a smile automatically find its place on my lips and Mary dashed out of the room across from mine.

"Its Gage! Her came early!" she shrieked from the doorway. He was our third amigo until his dad got a new job in Chicago. I missed him so much, his family was a 2nd family to me. I dashed out of my room almost tearing the pictures off the wall as my hand flew to the light switch in my bedroom.
My feet scattered down the stairs with Mary right behind me. Tall and handsome Gage was standing in the living room, his arms wide open for a hug.
"AAAAA!!!" I screamed and he scooped me up in his arms and spun me around in a giant hug.
"Linaaa!" he shouted.
"Well don't I feel left out!" Mary fake whined. Gage rolled his eyes and put me down then gathered Mary in his other arm.
"Its so good to see you guys! I missed you so much!" he said squeezing the life out of us with his arms.

"Well we have a welcome back present for ya!" Mary chuckled.
"Ooo what is it?" Gage grinned.
"You and Lina are going out."
"Mmhmm," I smiled.
"Wait..whaaaa?" he scratched his head.
"Lina is going to make her ex boyfriend mad by "dating" you. K?" Mary said.
"Mmk," he shrugged.
"But Gage you HAVE to make this believable K? If I was your real girlfriend do whatever you would do at the moment. Promise?" I said.
"You got it baby doll," he grinned kissing my forehead.

"Omg! Lina! Ace just texted me asking if you were coming! I told him ya and he said 'ok good,'" Her face was one of shock.
"Is Ace the guy?" Gage asked. We nodded. "Not as cool of a name as me." he scoffed.
At that moment the realization of how different Gage and Ace are flooded my mind. Gage had icy blue eyes and dirty blonde hair that fell into his eyes. He was might I say EXTREMELY yummy and I have had an attraction to him since I was in 3rd grade. He had the whole Abercrombie model thing going on especially when it came down to his body.
"Come on lets get cleaning up guys," Mary sighed.

*****The Next Day******

"LINA ACE AND THE OTHERS ARE IN THE DRIVEWAY!" Mary shouted. I dashed down the stairs and grabbed Gage.
"Come on boyfriend," I chuckled and pulled him with me. He wrapped his big hand around mine, and small sparks flickered under my skin. He must have felt them to cause he glanced down at me with amazement in his eye.
"Hey guys!" Mary shrieked. I was shaking hugging people and introducing people to "my boyfriend" Gage when someone caught my eyes. Matilda! Mary had invited the prep who wanted to burn me alive! Ugh!

"Mary why the hell is Matilda here," I hissed into her ear.
"Woah! I don't know...I didn't invite her." Mary whispered back, "Guess she decided to crash the party."
I huffed in anger. I felt to arms wrap around my waist and looked up to see Gage grinning down at me. He winked at me and kissed my forehead. Behind me I heard Ace asking Mary who Gage was. I heard Mary reply that he was an old friend who had recently discussed his undying love for me. Gage and I start silently cracking up. I lean my head against his chest as I shake with laughter.
"Ace baby will you help me get these heavy bags out of the car?" Matilda said pulling on his hand.

"Uh, sure thing," he said glancing at me and Gage. Everyone went in side the house and "ooed" and "ahead" and the giant inside.
"Bedrooms are upstairs and ya! Refrigerator is loaded! Have fun guys!" Mary smiled. Everyone went on to explore. Ace and Matilda came inside and Gage saw them. He wrapped his hands on my waist and lifted me on top of the cupboards so I was almost eye level but still a few inches short.
"So what do you wanna do tonight hun?" he asked leaning close to me. I wrapped my arms lightly around his neck.
"Hmm.. Its up to you," I grinned flirtatiously at Gage.
"Well then I do believe it will have to be a surprise," he grinned back mischievously.
I sighed dramatically "Fine,"
"Oh don't worry your pretty little head, it'll be fu-" before he could finish Matilda slithered in between us like the slime she is.

"Hi there, Im Matilda," she grinned at Gage. I just stared at her, my mouth open in shock. HOW. DARE. SHE. I just me Ace 3 months ago so she could slither all she wanted to there, but NO ONE messes with me and Gage. And Gage must have thought the same thing since he nudged her aside and went back on flirting with me. I could see her discust and shock in seeing ta hotty preferring me over her once again!
"Acey-kinz what are we going to do tonight?" Matilda said. I knew she was just trying to make me mad by her TERRIBLE acting skills. I just kept on giggling and poking Gage. I could see Ace turning a bit red from anger.
But what really set me aflame is when he grabbed her waist and pulled her against him.

***Gage's POV***

Lina and I watched from the corner of our eye as Ace pulled Matilda against him greedily but still looking at Lina. I saw the sudden pain shoot through Lina's piercing eyes and instantly knew I would have to help her on this one. I grabbed the sides of her face and pulled her in close, crushing my lips to hers. Deep down, I had always wanted to do this. Her arms went back around my neck and my hands went to her hips as I slipped my tongue between her lips into her waiting mouth. She softly whimpered from pleasure. I could feel my blood turn hot, and sparks ignited all over my body. My heart speed up and everything disappeared as Lina and I kissed. I started getting a little to hungry towards her and bit down softly on her lower lip making her gasp softly. I groaned softly as her tongue glided over my bottom lip.

I heard Ace growl a cuss word directed towards me. It was working, but this kiss..it wasn't for show.
She pulled away out of breath and she stared at me wide eyed. I winked as Ace and Matilda stomped out of the room leaving just us two. We just looked at eachother hard and long. Then she bent in and our kiss continued, even after Ace had left.
