Converses and Rose Colored Dreams

From the author of WELCOME TO ENGLAND and I CAN'T EXPLAIN IT and LIFE IS THE BUBBLES and THE SECRET SPOT comes the next story!!!! =D
"Your late again Mrs.Chapp," My teacher complained as I waltzed my way into the classroom, head held high. My converses leading my way to my seat confidently. "Aerlina where have you been?" The teacher demanded.
"First off, please, for the love of my sanity, call me Lina. Second, blame my skateboard, it's wheels decided to pop off half way to school." I plopped down in my seat and stared at the teacher innocently, making my blue eyes big and shiny, and jetting out my bottom lip a little. I could see the teacher's eyes soften but her face didn't and she kept on teaching her historical crap. Ugh I despise high school but thank god I graduate this year.
I leaned back in my seat and stuck my converses up on my desk. I was the class clown. The girl everyone wanted to make them laugh, even though inside, I can be a deep person. I sighed while deep in my thoughts. "Do you have a comment on this matter Aerlina?" Mrs. Rhena asked.

"No, LINA doesn't." I rolled my eyes.
She was used to the fact I was rude sometimes. Im outgoing and really don't care what people think of me. "Hey!! Mrs. Teach , over here!" I raised my hand and waved it in the air. The class giggled and I just kept waving my palm at the teacher.
"Yes Mrs.Chapp?" She asked annoyed.
"Can I go to the bathroom please?"
"Yes but please hurry back," She seemed relieved to be able to teach her class in peace for a few minutes. I skipped down the hall to the bathroom and looked myself in the mirror. My dark long feathered in brown hair was straightened and my bangs went straight across almost in my eyes. I smiled and saw my, thanks to braces back in the 7th grade, straight teeth. And then last but not least, the only part I liked about myself, my piercing blue eyes. I reapplied black eyeliner to make them really pop and walked back to class. I plopped back down in my seat and laid my forehead against the cool surface of the wooden desk. I never listen but surprisingly I must absorb everything she says cause I do really well on my tests and frequent homework.

"Class, we have a new student today coming here to Allentown Pennsylvania all the way from California! Everyone give a warm welcome to Ace Garreth!" I kept my eyes closed and my head against my desk unimpressed. I heard the door squeak open and the whole female population in the room gasp (including the teacher.) Something hit my head and I grabbed a rolled up piece of paper that read. TO LINA FROM MARY. Mary was my best friend in the whole world, I opened the crinkled paper it said a simple,"Id tap that," in small loopy letters. I tried holding in a laugh but it slipped out.
"Is there something funny you want to share Aerlina?" The teacher scolded. I just sat there laughing and nodding my head.

"Mary would tap that," I chuckled pointing at the figure by the door that was blurry from the tears forming in my eyes from laughing.
"HELL YA I WOULD!" I heard Mary shout and broke down on the floor just dying of laughter as I looked up to see Mary standing on her desk doing a pelvic thrust.
"AERLINA YOU MAY EXCUSE YOUR SELF TO THE PRINCIPLES OFFICE!" The teacher looked horrified.
"I can't," I whispered through laughter.
"Why not!?" she asked.

"Laughing to hard.." I started pounding my fist on the ground like in the movies. The whole class was laughing by now just watching me turn purple from hysterical laughter.
"Please just go to the principal! Now!" The teacher asked after I had sobered up.
"Yes ma'am," I saluted her.
"You to Mary."
Mary got out of her chair and walked with me. I still didn't feel the need to look at this boy, but I felt his eyes on me.
"Bye baby, Ill call you soon, LOVE YOU!" Mary winked at the boy and I started turning colors again as I tried holding in a laugh.

******Lunch Time**********

After the boring lecture from the principal who also thought the whole incident was hilarious, I went to my locker and grabbed my (perfectly fine) skateboard. I rolled though the halls and out the door to the courtyard where everyone was eating. I assumed the group of giggling girls was surrounding the new boy. I just rolled my eyes and went straight to my table of friends.
"Heya pals!" I greeted them and slid onto a bench by my friend Brad.
"Sup girl, how are you?" he said giving me a high five.
"Eh, pretty good." but he didn't hear me he was already making out with his current girlfriend. I rolled my eyes and turned my attention to Robby sitting across from me.
"Hey dude," I smiled.

"Hey! Heard you took a trip to the principal's office!"
I nodded proudly.
"How many times is that so far this year?" Robby's girlfriend and one of my good friends Grace asked. I looked off in space thinking.
"Sixteen," I replied.
"Shouldn't you be suspended?" Robby asked.
"Nope, principal thinks everything I do is funny." I chuckled. "What's the deal with this new kid?" I motioned to the swarm of preppy and primped girls in a circle blocking my view of the new kid.

"You mean Ace?" Sami asked, her curly red hair pinned to the side. "He's a total hotty. Moved here from California. He has three classes with me. He's got this whole, scene kid meets Abercrombie look going on." She smiled. This was our little group, Robby, Grace, Brad (and his current girlfriend depending on who it was,) Mary, Sami, and I. I smiled around the table at my best friends.
"I wanna get a look at this kid.." I murmured and stood up, Mary trailing behind me.
I fought my way through the wall of girls blocking my view. God, how good looking could this guy be? Finally I broke through and sitting on a bench was Ace. He was...wow. His dark hair was messy and his green eyes were shining brightly. His muscular figure stood out from the lanky group of boys watching in envy of him. His eyes were searching the crowd until they landed on me. His handsome face was lightened up with a smile complete with a pair of dimples. He wiggled his finger as a motion for me to step closer. The whole group of girls grew quiet and I chickened out when I caught a glimpse of death rays shooting out of each and every pair. I turned and jumped on my skateboard and just road away coolly. The bell rang and I headed to my favorite subject, one i was good at, drama.

"SUP MR.ELLS!" I shouted while rolling down the hall between the seats of the theater. Of course, I was late.
"Hey!" he greeted with a smile. "Ladies and gentlemen great our little actress warmly." he teased and tweaked my nose before motioning me to put my skateboard away. I rolled it under a row of seats. "Take a seat anywhere on the edge of the stage dear." He smiled, his bald head reflecting lights, his eyes crinkling at the edge from his kind smile. I was about to jump on the stage when I saw who was staring at me...Ace. I sighed and took a seat next to him.
Mr.Ells started lecturing on the importance of projection. I sat there feeling Ace's stare burning into my body. I felt something hit me from the other side. Mary had thrown another note,
ACE IS STARING AT YOU! -Mary

Oh really, I couldn't tell, let me turn my face and tell me if I have a hole burned through it -Lina

Is it that bad? Well can't blame the dude, your hawt!! -Mary

Ha, coming from the girl who makes guys get on their knees and beg, that means a lot. -Lina

No, I mean it Lina, you're so freaking pretty I'm jealous -Mary

Aw thanks Marebear your pretty to! I'm skipping class. I know all this stuff already. He gave the same exact lecture during our performance of Taming Of The Shrew. I'm going home. LATER! -Lina.

I threw the note at her and walked out of the theater. I heard footsteps behind me but knew Mr.Ells would pretend he didn't notice. I walked out and went to my locker grabbing my stuff. BOOM! I jumped out the sound and turned to my left to see Ace leaning up against the locker next to me. I just rolled my eyes and turned back to my locker.
"Hi," He said.
"Hmph." I answered.
"Interesting greeting..I'm Ace, what's your name?"
"Hew Jass."
"Well nice to meet you Huge Ass," He grinned. "Seriously though what's your name?"
"Aerlina," I glanced at him, "Call me Lina though."
"Interesting show you put on in History," he chuckled.
"It happens often."

"Well then I look forward to it."
I grabbed my stuff and jumped on my skate board and started rolling down the hall to the exit. I heard Ace push off the lockers behind me and start following me.
I ignored him and stuck my ear buds in my ears and blasted my iPod. I rolled down the sidewalk and was convinced I was alone until a hand came up and plucked an ear bud out of my ear and stuck it in theirs.
"What ya listening to?" Ace asked.
"Panic! At The Disco.." I asked a bit frightened he was talking to me. Most people only hung around me for a few jokes then avoided me.
"I love them," he grinned at me.
"Really?" I was surprised, "Most kids at our school have never ever heard of them!"
"They're so good!" he smiled.

"I know!!" I smiled back. I stared in his eyes and stopped my skateboard. He wouldn't stop smiling at me his eyes staring into mine. A blush crept across my cheeks and I looked down, "Anyway, where did you move?" I asked picking up my skateboard and carrying it.
"3204 W. Willow Cove," he sighed.
"Seriously!! I live at 3201! You're the new neighbor's?" I grinned.
"Yep! Your mom invited us over for supper tonight,"
"Oh...joy." I murmured and he chuckled.
"So ill see you tonight?" He asked hopefully.
"Mmhm, ill show you around our little town,"
"Great," He grinned and ran towards his house waving to me.
I tried ignoring the flutter feeling in my stomach and went home with rose-colored dreams flooding my teenage mind.
Do you want me to keep going?
HECK YES!!
Eh, sure, ill read it
No thanks
