Constant Back Pain Causes
You may experience constant back pain for more than 3 months. There are several factors that can lead to constant pain in back. To mention a few, sciatica, degenerative disc diseases, spondyloarthropathy, spinal stenosis, fractures, etc. Sciatica is the pain caused by an irritated sciatic nerve. Degenerative disc disease is described as the changes occurring in the discs of the spine. It can affect any part of the spine. Spondylosis is a synonym for degenerative disc disease. Spondyloarthropathy is defined as a group of rheumatic diseases that are marked by inflammation of the spine and sacroiliac joints. It is often found in a family. Some of the identifiable symptoms of spondyloarthropathy are pain in the joints and absence of rheumatoid factor in the blood.
Spinal stenosis is the narrowing of the spinal canal. It typically develops as one ages. Fractures of the vertebrae resulted by physical trauma are one of the most common causes of constant back pain. In addition to these described causes of constant back pain; strain and sprains are many-a-times responsible factors. They mainly occur due to an improper lifting technique, chronic coughing and sneezing, pushing or pulling, twisting, carrying heavy loads, etc.
Constant Back Pain Home Remedies
- Take proper rest. Lay your body flat on your back for about 2-4 hours a day. This will help a lot in curing constant upper back pain over time.
- Go for strolls in frequent intervals if you are in a sedentary occupation. This releases pressure from the back.
- Warm 2-3 teaspoons of mustard oil and massage a painful back with your fingers in a circular motion. Do it for 5 minutes daily before going to bed.
- Sleep on a firm mattress on your sides. Place the knees at right angles while resting.
- Use a hot compress on your back for about 5-10 minutes once daily.
- Take a bath and a shower with warm water everyday till you notice effective relief in the state of a constant back pain.
- Drink a glass of warm milk with honey everyday. Have it in the morning to get best possible results.
- Take help of yoga to reduce pain in the back. Some of the yoga poses meant for back pain relief are Bhujangasana, Halasana, Uttanpadasana, Shalabhasana and Shavasana.
- Squeeze the juice out of a lemon. Mix 2 teaspoons of common salt to the juice and drink it twice a day to get fast back pain cure.
- Lose body weight and keep it as close as possible to your ideal body weight according to your BMI ratio. Obesity is many-a-times a cause of constant lower back pain.
- Perform back exercises on a regular basis to bring down the constant pain.
