Conscience's Blessing

A reasonable boon is....
Conscience's Blessing
How can I ask for a boon to always laugh and never to cry?
My prayers are that my river of tears doesn’t dry!
Always weeping and sobbing will run me out of tears.
I am afraid it may snatch from my life, its precious years?!
Let its overflow not be a routine.
May tears shedding happen in between!
‘Always tears’ would upset my heart.
Brain will falter and fumble forgetting to be smart.
Don’t I need these drops for happy occasions?
‘Yes, we do’ cry those moments in chorus to my question.
This river’s dryness will cause famine.
I will suffer from acute shortfall of a smile and a grin.
Reduce the size of my unhappiness’ chunk, is what I seek.
In to others’ share of happiness, I don’t peek.
Envying neighbor’s well being is not my cup of tea.
May a fair share of peace dwell in me?
Is it too much to pray for this?
No, says my conscience and kneels down to bless!
