Concrete or a concrete slab is supposed to be the foundation element of any building or house that we see in this modern age. It is also called a building block material in the field of construction. If a building or home is expected to bear more load, a thickness of 5'' to 6'' is recommended. For constructional structures like driveways and pathways, a thickness of 7'' to 8'' is suggested. Well, these are all the standard and suggested thickness that is supposed to be used in a constructional area and anything less than these measurements is not recommended as any random size might damage the slab. Another important aspect under the subject of thickness is when the concrete mixture is poured into the base slab and is left out for drying completely, the process of binding is enhanced furthermore. Binding of a concrete slab is done with quarry dust or sand and the thickness that is measured after this procedure is around 150 millimeters.
