Common Wealth Games 2010
Common Wealth Games 2010 would be held in New Delhi, India. The sports fiesta is been awaited and India hopes high revenue generation from it.
To be held in New Delhi India in the year 2010, Common Wealth Games (CGW) is keenly awaited by sports lovers across the globe. The Common Wealth Games 2010 would be held from October 3 to October 14, 2010.
Indian Government, Delhi Development Authority in particular have taken great steps so that CWG could be held peacefully in the National Capital Teritorry. DDA has developed a state of Art Games Village along the National Highway 24 on the eastern bank of River Yamuna. Spanning over an area of 63.5 hectare, CWG are has 14 blocks, 34 towers and 1,168 air-conditioned flats that could easily accommodate 8,000 athletes and team officials. Special training zones are developed that would help the atletes to do their pratices before the matches.
Delhi Hospitality industries have also geared up by constructing an additional 25000 rooms that would supplement the Bed and Breakfast Scheme launched by the Delhi government. State-owned India Tourism Development Corp. Ltd (ITDC) and private hotels are also planning to open new venues for the visitors to stay comfortably.
The logo of CWG 2010 has been inspired by a Chakra, India's national symbol for freedom, with tag line Come out and Play. The logo has been created to show the unification of India with Commonwealth countries and the tag line suggest that we should work together and live in harmony.
Seventeen games would be held in the famous Common Wealth Games 2010.

6. Cycling (Track, Road Mass Start and Road Time Trials),

8. Hockey, Lawn Bowls,
9. Netball,
10. Rugby 7s,
11. Shooting (Pistol, Small Bore, Full Bore and Clay Target),
12. Squash,
13. Table Tennis,
14. Tennis,
15. Weightlifting
16. Wrestling
Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex , Thyagaraj Sports Complex, Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, Dr. S.P. Mukherjee Swimming Stadium, Talkatora Indoor Stadium, Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, Siri Fort Sports Complex, Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range, R.K. Khanna Tennis Complex, Yamuna Sports Complex are the famous venues where various Common Wealth Games would be held.
