HTC One might not be the most powerful smartphone around, but it surely is amongst the most-loved phones to have come up in recent times. It was probably the most stylish phone to have been launched in a long time. Its all-aluminum body was a welcome change from all the plastic 'toys' that we're used to. With Beats Audio on board, and HTC's proprietary front-mounted stereo BoomSound speakers, this is undoubtedly every audiophile's dream phone. The phone also featured some real neat software tweaks like HTC Zoe and BlinkFeed, which made for a great user experience. Although, the Ultrapixel camera got a mixed reaction from the users, it was a rather innovative move from the Taiwanese company.

If that wasn't enough for you, the drop-dead gorgeous 4.7-inch screen with a mind-numbing pixel density of 468 ppi, surely was the perfect icing on the cake for the One. So, going just by all the superlatives used to describe this phone, this has got to be the perfect phone, or is it? The Nokia 3310, they say, is the only perfect phone ever made. The HTC One though, has its fair share of problems, but most with simple fixes. Here's a look at common problems of the HTC One and their simple solutions.

My HTC One shows a 'No SIM card' error.

Probable cause: Problem with the SIM card slot

Possible solution:
» Try reinserting the SIM card.

» Gently clean the SIM card and the SIM card slot. You could use some alcohol to clean the golden parts on the SIM and the card slot.

» Ensure that the SIM card is working.

» Apply a couple of layers of tape on the plain side of the SIM card and reinsert it into the card slot.

» If the problem persists, take the phone to your dealer/HTC service center.

The buttons on my HTC One don't light up/random buttons get pressed when I'm on a call.

Probable cause: Software/hardware issues

Possible solution:
» Cover the top-left of your phone's screen with your hand. If the buttons at the bottom of the screen light up the ambient light sensors are working fine. Do the same on a phone call.
