As I see Shaelyn's body lying there I don't think. I just pick her up and put her into my car. The storm is too bad to go to the hospital so I take her to my place. As I open the door I'm thankful that Maddie has found some other place to stay. I lay Shaelyn on the bed and grab the phone. I dial the hospital and tell them all that I know. "Sir, calm down. The ambulance will be there in a few minutes." She says. I feel so helpless. The woman who I love is lying there and there is nothing I can do. "What can I do to help her?" I say practically yelling at the poor woman. "Sir, just stay calm. And you can go and see if she is still breathing." She says and I immediately go over there and place my hand over her pulse.. I sigh I relief as I feel its steady beat. "Yea she is breathing, but she is unconscious?" I say. "Does she have a head wound, of some kind?" She asks... I go back to her and feel her head. I don't feel anything.
But when I pull my hand back its covered in blood. "She is bleeding from her head!!" I yell. I hear the sirens of the ambulance coming closer until they stop. "Sir, Calm down." She says and it makes me angry because I can't lose her. "I'm not calming down!" I yell at her and hang up. The paramedics come through the door... I lead them to her and they take her away. "Sir are you her husband?" One of the men asks. "No." I say wishing that I was. "Then you can't come with her, I'm sorry." He says again and slams the door in my face. "Ugh!" I slam my fist against the door as they drive away with her...
As they drive away I pick up my phone and call Jack. "Hey, I found Shaelyn on the side on the sidewalk! They are taking her to the hospital now!" I say as I get into my truck and drive towards the hospital in the blinding snow... "What!! What happened to her?" He yells as if I had something to do with it... "I don't know I just found her lying in the snow on my way home from work. So I called the hospital." I say. And I hear Jack getting in his car and driving to the hospital also. "Well I'm on my way. I'll see you there!" Jack says and hangs up the phone. I hurry as fast I can to try to get to the hospital. My mind wonders to the worst places possible. What if I never see her again? I didn't even get to tell her I love her.
Oh God I do love her! Why do I have to love her when she doesn't even love me back? I think as I make my way to the hospital door. "Hey is a Shaelyn St. Clair here?" I ask the woman at the desk. "She is in room 214 on the second floor." The older nurse says. And I just run toward the elevator, not bothering to say anything back the women. "Hey, have you heard anything yet?" I ask Jack when I finally make it the waiting room. "No, not yet." Jack says as he sits besides his wife. Sarah gets up and gives me a hug. "They will be fine." She says. I hope so. I think to myself. Wait did Sarah just say they? "They?" I ask. "Uh, yea Shae and the person who did this to her." Sarah says with a weird look on her face.
Whatever?! "No whoever did this is dead!" I say and Jack shakes his head in agreement. "Boys calm down, you can't kill anybody!" She looks at us like we are crazy. But I don't care if I'm crazy. I love Shae and I would do anything for her! Sarah finds the farthest seat away from Jack and sits back down. Well, I see they are still fighting. "Whoever did this will..." Sarah didn't get to finish because the doctor arrives. "Hello, Shaelyn is okay. She just hit her head but she should wake up any second now. Everything is completely normal." He says and walks away. "Oh thank God!" I hear Jack and Sarah say at the same time.
"Sarah rushes down the hall and ask the doctor a question. The doctor shakes his head yes and walks away again. "She is completely okay, and everything else is okay too!" Sarah says with a big smile on her face. What are they talking about? Uh I can't keep up with them. So I walk away and head to her room. I see her laying there so pale and helpless. I walk over to her and brush the hair off her face. She sighs and I can't help but smile. I gently kiss her forehead and I take a seat in the chair beside her bed. Then I notice her stomach. So swollen and weird-looking? What is wrong with her? I move my hand over her belly and feel something move? I take my away from her belly? What the crap!!
Shaelyn is pregnant!! Who could have possibly done this to her?!! Oh God that's why she is back! Some jerk knocked her up and she had nowhere to go!! And here I am in love with her and she is carrying some other guy's baby!! I Can't believe she would do this! That is probably why she left, she was already pregnant!! I know just who the father is!! KYLE'S!! I rush out the door and head down toward the waiting room. "KYLE GOT HER PREGNANT AND NO ONE TOLD ME!! HE IS DEAD!!" I yell at Jack and Sarah. They just sit there looking surprised. I don't waste any more time talking to them. I rush out the door and get into my truck I see Jack coming out the door as I spin out of the parking lot... I curse both of them all the way to Kyle's house...

As I wake up I see and man in a white doctor's coat. Where am I? I think looking around realizing that I must be at the hospital. But how did I get here? The last thing I remember is seeing the crazy girl punching me in the face. Then things went black. But I do remember warm hands caressing my face. But that must have been my imagination. "Oh, hello Shaelyn!" The man says coming over and checking the I.V that is in my arm. Oh I hate needles, I think but my thoughts are interrupted by the man talking again. "How are you feeling?" He asks. Then I remember that I'm not alone. I have a baby growing inside me. "Is my baby okay? " I ask placing my hands around my belly. I haven't met this baby but he or she is a part of me and Lucas and I'll always love it! "Do you know the sex of your baby yet?" He asks me and I shake my head no. "Do you want to? The doctor asks. Which mean that whatever the baby is, they are okay? I smile and say, "Yes!" The doctor just laughs at me.
"It's a boy!" He says and I laugh so hard that I start to cry. We are having a boy! I hold my belly just imagining what he will look like! A boy with his father's green eyes and his father's blonde hair! My smile stops when I realize that his father doesn't even know about him yet. "Why do you look sad? Did you want a girl?" The doctor asks looking concerned. "Oh no, I wanted a boy. But I haven't told his father yet and its kind of complicated." I say as tears run down my face and realizing that the little boy growing inside of me won't know who his father is. "I'm sorry miss." The doctor says and walks out of the room. I hold my belly. "Don't worry I will tell your daddy everything about you when I see him." I say to my unborn son. "Hey, how are you?" Sarah says as she walks through the door with a big balloon saying "Get Well Soon". I smile at her and wipe the tears off my face. "I'm great!" I say taking the balloon from her and sitting on the table beside my hospital bed. "That's good! But why are you smiling so big?" She says confused. Why does Sarah look so sad? I think to myself. It's probably just her and Jack again.
"I know what the baby is!" I say smiling so big that my cheeks hurt. Sarah smiles back and jumps up and down like a child. "What is it?" She asks as I laugh at her! "A boy! Lucas and I are having a boy!!" I say and she frowns. "What's wrong? Did you want me to have a girl or something?" I ask still smiling. "Oh no honey I'm so happy that you are having a boy, It's just that Lucas somehow found out about the baby and he thinks its Kyle's baby. Jack tried to stop him but he spun out of here so fast Jack couldn't catch him. But Jack is out looking for him." Sarah says and my world crumbles. How could he think that of me! I can't believe the father on my child is so ignorant! Uh I hate him for thinking that about me!! "Don't let Jack tell him anything! If he wants to think I'm a slut then let him!" I yell but I start to cry and this time I can't quit. Sarah rushes over and holds me tight and I eventually drift off to sleep...
