Thunder leaped in front of me the moment she fired.
I wanted to scream 'No!', but I thought it was too cliché, so I just caught him the moment he fell.
The stake hit him in the heart, and he instantly paled.
I placed him on the ground very carefully, and tried not to inflict any more pain than he had already had.
I smoothed the hair from his white clammy forehead.
"Thunder? Thunder... you OK?" I asked, watching as tears sprung from my gold eyes, onto his skin.
"I don't feel so good." he tried to say, but could only whisper.
I saw Spirit fall to the ground, looking at her hands, saying over and over, "i didn't mean to hit him... I didn't want to do that..."
I shook my head, sending tears splattering everywhere, my hatred overcoming my sympathy.
"Thunder, if I do this now, you might survive. But I need to know if it's okay with you, because it's not my decision to make."
"What decision?" his pain mixing with confusion, his eyes growing wide with the realization of death.
I allowed my fangs to come out and watched his eyes overcome their sense of fear, and realization set in.
I bent down to his neck whispering in his ear "I'll make you immortal."
I waited until sensed him nod his head, which I knew meant okay, so I sunk my fangs into him.
He screamed in pain, but closed his eyes and moaned in pleasure.
"Fate..." he groaned, his skin becoming even paler.
"Fate. Honey, stop." silence said, shaking my shoulder gently, but I pushed her away with all the strength my Vampire power could hold.
I hadn't tasted human blood in solong! I couldn't stop... but I had to. I had fallen in love with him.
I forced myself to finish, and saw it was just in time.
His skin was paper thin, and nothing was happening. I started to cry, hot tears soaking his bloodstained neck.
"Why isn't he changing?" I asked, in my head it was a scream, but it came out as barely a whisper.
"You've never turned anyone before have you?" Spectra said soothingly.
I shook my head while sobbing.
"Ok. All right. It's going to be fine. You need to listen to me, and keep calm 'kay?" Spectra asked, and I nodded, while tears still streamed.
"Ok. You need to bite your wrist." she ordered, and I bit it, my fangs still out.
My wrist splattered blood everywhere.
"Now what?" I asked, it was difficult to speak.
"Make him drink it. Go on." she urged, pushing me.
"I offered my wrist to his mouth, and he sucked. Barely at first, then the sucking got more frantic.
I pushed him off when I started to feel dizzy. "is it alright now?" I asked, hoping that was all I would have to do.
"No. Now he has to die." Spectra said, solemnly. "DIE?!" I yelled, stood up, and whirled around.
"I'll do it." a familiar voice said behind me, I spun round, and black was kneeling at thunders body.
"No. you won't even touch him" I snapped.
"He stole you from me. I'll get my revenge by killing him, he'll come back, You'll live happily ever after and I'll never bother you again. If you think about it, I'm giving you a favor." he said, coaxing me into his way of mind.
I gulped.
"Do it." I said.
With one swift motion, he snapped Thunders neck.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" I screamed, not remembering it was my decision, just moments before.
I would have sank down into the earth if strong, dependable arms hadn't caught me.
I managed to stand on my own shaky feet, and take a good look at him.
He was a beautiful Vampire. Couldn't have been more than a year old, and very handsome.
Brown wavy hair, falling floppily over one eye, and his lazy smile spreading across his blemish free skin.
He was a teenager, and one with completely black eyes.
No hint of color in the iris, but the pupil- normally black, was a bright and brilliant green.
So brilliant it hurt to look at, but so transfixing I couldn't look away.
"Fate," I said, offering my hand, remembering my manners.
He shook it. "Kayak," he replied. Why does that sound familiar....
"KAYAK?!" Spirits head jerked up, and she looked like death, so pale and unwell. Well. She had just murdered her brother.
"Hey." Kayak said, turning to face her, then stopped in his tracks, his mouth gaping open, and beautiful eyes lighting up in recognition.
"Spirit?" he choked, his voice overwhelmed with care and love.
She nodded, sobbing and ran straight into his skinny little arms. (;])
He mumbled into her hair, so quiet only a Vampire could hear, "I thought I lost you forever."
Thunder breathed in a huge gulp of air, and we all rushed to his side, I got there first, and hugged him really tightly.
Sobbing into his hair, and he lifted up an arm, to press me against his chest.
"Ow." I mumbled against his torso.
"Sorry, Vampire strength..." he chuckled into my hair.
"So you're OK?" I asked, and he nodded, I sobbed again.
"Hey, why the waterworks.?" he asked, peering into my eyes.
"I got happy !" I smiled through my tears. "happy tears" I added, and hugged him again.
"I suppose this means 'together forever' crap." spectra said, ever the critic, I smiled and said.
"Wait and see!"
"Ugh." Black said, and turned away. "what's your problem, Omen?"
I asked, not caring, and refusing to call him by Black, as I did before my life changed and went in Thunders way.
"I was hoping he'd stay dead. But no such luck." he said
Thunder still to weak for me to leave his side, I had to suffice with an evil glare, which he just shrugged off.
After that, we all ignored him, and didn't notice until later.
While I was tending to Thunder- making sure he was comfortable, and still alive,
I occasionally looked at Spirit and Kayak. They were so in love it was beautiful, and so strange, that the Vampire hunter and the Vampire fall in love...
I concentrated on my Vampire hearing, so I could hear what they were saying...
"It's so cool, I never thought it would feel like this..." he was saying.
I guess she must have asked him what it's like to be a Vampire.
"So... will you?" she asked. I got bored of listening, and looked into thunders eyes, getting swoony.
His eyes hadn't changed yet, so they were still sapphire blue, as calm and collected as the sea.
When I looked up again, Spirit was sucking Kayaks blood.
"What the hell are you doing?!" I yelled. Spectra's head instantly turned to see them, and then she got angry too.
"STOP IT! Are you crazy?!" she yelled, pulling them apart.
"Do you even know what you are getting into!?" she berated spirit, yelling into her face.
"Why can't I be a Vampire. You let thunder be one." she said sulkily.
"I let him be one, because he was dying and there was no other option. You have your whole life ahead of you!" I yelled, still having thunders head resting on my lap.
"I don't want my life if I can't have Kayak. Shouldn't it be my decision?!" she yelled back, defending herself.
"You will hate yourself for it..." Thunder gasped. "but if you want it, do it." he added. I gaped at him
"Thunder.." I said, "no. it's her choice. Let her do it." he said, arguing with me feebly.
"She has to die. You know that," I said, trying to make him see reason, and back off against the idea.
"I know. That's why I want you to do it. I trust you. More than him" he looked at black with a forceful glare.
"But... if that's what you really want..." I sighed, eased his head of my lap, and walked over to the two lovebirds, with a heart full of lead.
I spoke to Kayak. Telepathically.
"Finished hitting on my brother?" she sneered. And that was the last thing she did.
Without moving, I put the thought into her head that she died. And she did. To make sure I did it right, I also made sure I altered her destiny. To make sure she was dead.
"Thank you." Kayak said to me, with tears in his eyes.
"How long before..." I said, unable to finish the sentence.
"Not long. I changed within minutes." he replied, never taking his dripping eyes off her pale, lifeless body.
"I am sorry," I offered.
"Don't be!" he interrupted. "It was the nicest thing you could have done for us."
then she took the biggest gulp of air I've ever witnessed, and within a millisecond Kayak was at her side.
He soothed her head, and she slept peacefully, her heart rate slowing down to almost a complete stop.
When she opened her eyes, they were black. Plain black, with a glimmer of green, as she had sucked Kayaks blood.
I smiled. Everything was right. Except for one tiny huge detail.
Black Omen.
I walked up to him, and looked in his eyes. He smirked. "come back to your senses." I smiled.
"Not quite.", he looked quizzically at me, I just smiled angelically, and said,
"I'm sorry about this Black, I really am. But just look into my eyes, and don't look away.
Without any other words, I used the stake Spirit had used on her own brother, and drove it through Black's charcoal heart.
I heard a gasp of air, a thud, and then I could open my eyes.
I collapsed with a soft thump, and burst into tears.
Everything had happened at once. How was I supposed to cope?
I had just come to terms with Wills death, now I have 3 other deaths to mourn, and 2 new Vampire's to care for.
Plus, I have to run a castle full of pets and newborns.
I'm telling you, it won't be easy. But as long as black keeps his promise not to bother me from his life after the afterlife, I'll be fine. It won't be easy, but I'll be fine.
There will be a sequel. So don't worry! It will be after the new story, 'High School Never Ends' and after the 'Furry Kind Of Love' sequel. There will be no sequel for 'Have It All', as I consider 'High School Never Ends' to be a sequel.
