Cloth Diaper Patterns
Diapers, the moment you think of this word a cute little baby would cover your imagination. But, cloth diapers are not easy to choose from. Let us see some really cute cloth diaper patterns.
Mostly prefold cloth diaper patterns are a more comfortable option to go with. Let's see how to make a prefold cloth baby diaper.
- Cut 4 pieces of cloth for a 4x8x4 prefold cloth diaper.
- Now, take 2 of the layers, and fold them in half, folded sides on the inside. Now, repeat with the other 2 layers.
- Overlap the two folded stacks. Make sure the overlapped part is the same width as the sides.
- Cut a piece of terri-cot or pique knit fabric the same size as the diaper. Layer this over the diaper, and pin it.
- Serge around the edges. Round off the corners.

- Top-stitch the center strip in place.
- Lay the top strip out, in a flipped - down position. Then, pin & sew the seam.
- Flip it up, pin it and then trim it.
- Serge around the edge.
- Make a 2x4x2 prefold and serge across the top.
- Cut the backing piece from terri - cot or pique knit fabric and serge across the top.
- Keeping the serged edges on the top, layer the prefold and backing pieces.
- Pin them together and serge around the edges, beginning 1" to the outside of the center overlap. Keep it ending in the same place on the other side of the overlap. Leave an opening of about 6" in width along the top.
- Use a strip of the fabric to cut the soaker pads, and serge around the edges.
- Use patches on the "bum part" of the diaper. You could try out a Howard or Princeton patch, that would add a great deal of "frat style" to the diaper.
- Certain brand labels are often available, like you could stitch on an Armani or Gucci tag to the diaper. Boy oh Boy! Does your kid believe in brands! It will look cute, and let's face it, it will be fun.
- You could use really trendy fabric for the diaper. Like, you could use a floral fabric, in case the kid will be wearing it during a Hawaiian vacation.
- You could put slogans on the "bum part" of the diaper as well. Few cute ones could be, "I am a Brat... It's a genetic disorder!" or, "Quit checking out my ass, pervert!!". These will be a lot of fun to make and will look very cute.
