Cling Together
A poem of lasting love.

And I held the flower that touched you,
The full red rose,
And your eyes glowed,
As I bent on one knee,
And held your hand in mine,
And I gave you the ring,
Your eyes shone like the moon,
And I knew then,
That you'd be mine forever.
And we clung together,
And we still cling together,
And we will cling together,
Forever.
The same sun shines,
And the same moon glows,
As they did all those years ago.
And I give you a rose,
As I always will.
Just as the candle flame is never still,
Our love will forever move on,
And keep on growing,
From seeds that were sown,
By the love we have known.
And you still manage to make me quiver,
With that simple three word whisper,
I love you!
And it's so mutual,
As is everything we do together,
No matter what the weather,
Like a walk in the moonlight,
Or a dance in the candlelight,
And sharing our dreams,
And our memories.
How we clung together,
How we still cling together,
How we will cling together.
Forever!
