Planting the Bushes

Growing rose bushes is not all that difficult but it is usually thought to be. Follow some simple steps carefully to plant the rose bush. Spring is the perfect season to plant these bushes. Search for a location in your garden that receives at least six-hour of full sun in a day. The soil should have good and sufficient drainage so that the plant can easily exchange air. Insufficient amount of air may give birth to many diseases and can even cause fungus. Prepare the soil a few weeks before planting the rose. Remove weed, rocks and grass and add compost to the soil in required quantity. Make sure that the pH value of the soil is between 5.8 to 6.8 that is ideal for the plant to survive. You can also add lime to the soil if it is very acidic or peat moss if it is too alkaline.

Before planting the rose bush in the ground, set it in a bucket of water, after fertilizing it at the half-strength and then place it into the ground nearly two feet away from the fence or the trail. Water the plant, especially the roots everyday preferably in the morning. Prune it regularly by detaching the dried leaves and blossoms and do not add compost to it, to avoid insects and fungus. Care and Maintenance

Proper climbing rose bushes care is a must to keep it in a good shape. It requires very few things like good fertilizer, lots of sunlight and soil rich in organic material and of course, it should be well-drained as mentioned earlier. The darker shades of bushes require more sunlight in comparison to light-colored roses. Giving a direction to this climber is also a part of caring for the bushes.

Pruning the Bushes

Pruning bushes that are already established do not require much effort. They do well even after slight pruning. The canes should be trimmed once they have outgrown the space. Also, trim the side shoots from the main stem or cane to nearly two to three inches. If the climber blooms a lot, then it should preferably be pruned after its flowering period. Repeat the pruning process in the dormant season of the plant. By just following these simple instructions of pruning can make your bushes blossom with flowers.
