How to Clear Google Search History - Firefox
Clearing Google search history is very simple in Mozilla Firefox. Here's a step-by-step process on how to clear Google search history in Firefox.
  1. Go to Firefox Tools menu. Click it or press Alt+t on your keyboard to get the tools menu.
  2. Choose clear recent history by clicking it.
  3. Click the drop down next to time range to delete and choose how much of your web history you want to clear. (For example: last hour, last two hours, etc.)
  4. Click the drop down next to "Details".
  5. In that, you should select "Browsing and downloading History" and "Form and Search History" check boxes.
  6. Lastly, click on "Clear Now".
How to Clear Google Search History - IE (Internet Explorer)

For all those who work on Safari Internet browser by Apple, there are two procedures to clear Google search history. Here's how to do it. If you want to Reset Safari, follow the following options. But before that, let me tell you that, reset option will not just delete your Google history, it will erase all your cookies, cache, history, autofills, usernames and passwords. Here are the steps.
  1. Go to the Safari menu.
  2. Click on "Safari".
  3. Select and click "Reset Safari".
Another method in Safari, that focuses on clearing only the Google history is, as follows.
  1. Go to the Safari menu.
  2. Select and click "Preferences".
  3. Select the "Autofill" option.
  4. Then, click the "Edit" button from the "Other Forms" line.
  5. Select Google.com from the Autofill list of websites.
  6. Select "Remove" and click on "Done".
The Google toolbar is not currently available in Firefox although there is a small Googlebar on the right top corner of a Firefox window which provides the same function. This Googlebar also saves the search history. To disable Googlebar's search history, follow the following steps.
  1. Click on the logo of Googlebar on left side of the bar.
  2. Select the "Googlebar Options".
  3. Choose the Miscellaneous tab.
  4. You will find a "Save history" option, in which, you should uncheck the "Preserve the search history across the browser sessions" option. This is how you "Disable" the Googlebar from saving the search history.
If you want to simply clear the Google history on the Googlebar, right-click the Google bar logo and select the "Clear Search History" option.

Now, here's a catch. What if you want to delete a single search word from the Google search history? The solution: Try using the arrow keys on the keyboard of your computer to highlight a specific entry that you want to remove. Or, you can highlight that specific entry using the mouse without clicking it. Once the entry has been highlighted, press the "delete" button on your keyboard. The entry should get deleted after doing so.
