Many women, and men complain about having oily skin as it looks dull, lifeless, and contributes to acne-prone skin. But amidst all this, there is one advantage of having oily skin, and that is it reduces wrinkles in your skin. However excessive oil production from the sebaceous glands will make the skin look tired and greasy. Having oily skin can be a heredity issue, or can be the result of excess oil intake from certain types of food, during pregnancy, and/or hormonal and menopausal imbalance. We all know that oily skin will attract more dirt and pollution which makes your skin more prone to blackheads, spots, and acne. Although there is no remedy to change the skin type but there are

First thing you need to do is wash your face frequently with hot water, at least 2 - 3 times a day. Avoid using harsh soaps on your face as it may give you stretchy and flaky looking skin. Use a mild soap that is also an antibacterial or medicated soap and choose oil-free moisturizers that will give you a shine-free appearance. Plus, buying the cleanser on a regular basis can be a bit expensive.
Natural Cleanser to Help Oily Skin
The following homemade cleanser recipes are my personal favorite which I have tried myself at home. Besides eating healthy foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, try these good cleansers for oily skin which can be made from the ingredients found in your refrigerator.
Cleanser #1:
Take a bowl and extract the juices of the grapes. Slice the lemon and mix the juice in with the grape juice. Whisk in the egg white and combine everything properly. Apply the mixture to your face and leave it on for about 20 minutes. You feel some tingling on your face due to the egg white. Rinse your face with lukewarm water.
Cleanser #2:
Take a bowl and mix the ingredients together to make a thick, creamy paste. Mix the paste vigorously and apply the paste on the face and neck. Leave it on for 20 minutes and wash it wish lukewarm water. Pat your face dry. This paste can help in removing oily skin that causes pimples.
Cleanser #3:
Take a bowl and mix tea tree oil and salt together. Apply it over your face and neck. Scrub a little as you are applying the mixture. Leave it for 10 minutes and wash it with cold water. If you have any pimples and/or cuts over your face, don't apply this cleanser as the salt can have adverse effects on it.
Cleanser #4:
Smash the tomato in a blender. Take half a spoon of lemon juice and mix it in with the tomato. Apply the smooth paste on your face and neck. Leave it to dry and then wash it with warm water.
Cleanser #5:
- Orange peel
- Milk or rose water
Take the orange peel and dry it in the sun. Once it's dry, make it into powder. You can add milk or rose water to the orange peel powder that will make a paste. Apply it over your face and let it dry. Wash the dry paste off with lukewarm water.
Cleanser #6:
- Honey
- Oatmeal
- Lemon juice
Mix all the ingredients together and make it into a paste. Apply the paste on your face and wash it with lukewarm water after 10 minutes.
Cleanser #7:
Take at least 8 strawberries and blend it to get a pulp. Mix in 3 tablespoons of honey to it and combine it properly. Apply the paste over your face and leave it for 20 minutes. Wash your face with cool water.
Since the recipes given above on various cleansers are prepared at home with no chemicals, it's safe to use. However, I would advice you to consult your dermatologist before you apply any of these cleansers. Don't wait any longer and treat your skin to a healthy day.
