A professional possessing an MS of science in civil engineering has more chances of earning more than one who has a bachelor's degree in the same field. Generally, civil engineers may be employed in government construction agencies, construction and development companies, architectural organizations, and other facilities who deal in infrastructural development. Professionals who are hired by the government may get paid more than those employed in private infrastructure development companies. The average starting salary of civil engineers is around $45,000 per annum, which increases with the years of experience. After five to ten years of experience, the salary prospects may rise to $60,000 to $80,000 per year. If you have a 15-20 years of experience, the pay range may even climb over $110,000 per annum.
