Circle of Pain

Two brothers born only minutes apart...their mother a victim; their father a rapist. A lifelong struggle between good and evil.
Two sons were born one starless night
Conflicting storm of dark and light
Tranquil skies in shaded blues
Eased lightning’s strike by colorful hues

Both young boys became fervent men
One lived for truth and the other sin
A noble heart and righteous prayers
Fought evil thoughts inside a brother’s stare

Their paths unwound in different ways
Bright rays of virtue warred hatred’s gaze
The firstborn child led his with grace
The other masked a wicked face

One prayed at night, "Let Angels Rise!"
In visions of death through sleepless eyes
One thrived at night inflicting pain
Then laughed and rejoiced at bloody remains

One mother raped by filthy hands
Three pathways carved by foul demands
Circle of pain spins round with ease
As goodness drowns beneath blackened seas
