Christmastime

The most waited for time of the year...
The snowflakes fell so softly
Blanketing the ground in white.
And as I turned round
I heard the sound of
Distant Christmas bells.

Out came the first star
Shining bright on Christmas Eve
All was quiet except for the
Sound of the bells.

Christmas trees were glowing
In every window I passed
The peace I felt and the joy
I could only hope would last.
