Christmas twas The Night

This poem is for my little cousins Ethan and Corly McGee…
Cold twas the night of Christmas Eve.

But to you and I who lie in our beds in a deep deep dream about what we will receive the next morning warm in our comforters.

Then you jump up to the sound of hoove steps on the roof and I meet you in the hallway we run outside to see what lies on the roof top above.

Then we hear the snicker of Old St. Nick leaving the top of the roof saying, "You didn’t get me this year but maybe next, maybe not."

Then he is gone but just like in the movies you and I see him in the moon and here him shout "HoHoHo and a Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night".
