Christmas For Ants?!

There was a very intelligent boy who had a passion: ants! He loved ants and every year he fed the ants in his garden and in the wintertime, he had a special warm barn where he kept them. Still, many ants couldn’t understand that the warmth of the barn was their life chance, it kept them alive during winter; some adventured out in the snow without knowing that it would be their last walk…Yes, many ants ended up frozen in the snow and the cold wind outside.

This happened for several winters and it was heartbreaking for the boy … so sad to see all those ants dying! Because they simply couldn’t understand human language and no matter how hard he tried to tell them and convince them to stay in the barn, the ants just couldn’t understand him!

One day, our boy decided to do something about this. He started thinking: "If I could only become an ant, on if I only could! I am sure they would understand me then! I could tell all ants that my barn will keep them away from the cold of the winter, and none of them would have to freeze to death any more! Oh how I wish I could talk to them!"

One night, he had a dream; he dreamt he turned into an ant! Oh what a joy! He was so happy and he quickly went to talk to his ants outside telling them that he is the boy who feeds them every year but now he turned into an ant because he wants them to understand that his barn is open for them and no one in their family has to freeze during winter any more!

Surprised, some ants listened and said :"Hmm, let’s see where is this barn? Is it for real?" Some other ants were very busy working and said: "Well, we can’t stop working, we might just visit your barn later "; other ants said : "Yeah right! A barn for winter! No one has ever heard of such a thing! Too good to be true!"

"But come and see for yourselves!" said the boy. "Eh, we don’t believe it anyway, what you’re saying is just a story, you’d better stop bothering us …or else…" Astonished, the boy asked:" or else, what?" Then a furious ant approached and opening its jaws as much as it could, cried:" Or else we’ll kill you!"

With a sudden move, the boy woke up:" Thank God it was just a dream!" He couldn’t fall back to sleep, as he thought and thought about this weird world of the ants. He loved them and didn’t want them to die, yet, so few understood him! With a deep grief in his sincere heart, he awaited the morning to go back to them in the garden…maybe this time they would understand…

It seems a children story but this is the Christmas’ story. The truth is that just as the limited ants’ world wasn’t ready to understand that it was for their benefit to save their lives in the barn, the same way we, as humans, seem to fail when it comes to understanding that we are actually doomed to die; the cemeteries are packed with our predecessors…it doesn’t take long to see that.

The Only one who came to give us life was Jesus Christ, He is the Only One who has life, so much life that He is willing to share it with us too; not an extra year or two, but a whole eternity! He died in our place so we wouldn’t have to die. But who believes Him?

Some say: "We are to busy to hear this" or "Too good to be true, so it can’t be true!" However, scholars and simple people, rich or poor, those who wanted to check the facts, realized that indeed the message is true and grabbed life!

If you have never tasted a papaya, no matter how hard I try to explain it’s taste, you can’t say you have eaten some until you really eat it and taste it for yourself. Only after you eat you can say: "it is good or it is not good".

I personally don’t like papayas much but I can tell you God is good and loves you; however, until you meet Him yourself, you can’t make a valid decision (since you don’t know what you’re talking about).In His love letter to you - the Bible - God tells you more about how treasured you actually are; read it and decide afterwards!

Check history and science and see how much science there actually is in the Bible! I want to assure you that Bible is not a "legend" but on the contrary, it is historically reliable, what's more, science and the Bible are not enemies! Just use your capacities and you will see.
