Aguilera has recently gotten some flak for constantly being out on the town and leaving her child at home. Aguilera, who gave birth earlier this year, has hit back at her critics. She said, "I spend all day with my son and once in awhile if I want to go out and have a mommy-daddy night with my husband, I am more than allowed to do that." She added that the criticism she has received is "mean spirited."

Aguilera said, "Everybody has an opinion and everybody wants to cause drama, but it’s something that comes with what you do and I learned that very early on." She also says that just because she likes a night out on the town here and there doesn’t mean she is a bad mother or going back to the wild days of her youth. She just wants to unwind and have a good time. Aguilera and Bratman have been spotted enjoying a few nights out in Hollywood at hotspots such as Villa and Crown Bar. Last weekend they were in Las Vegas where she hosted a launch party at LAX. She also reportedly performed at Pure nightclub in Caesar’s Palace.

Aguilera and Bratman met in 2002 when he worked at her management company, Azoff Music Management. The couple quickly hit it off and began dating. In February 2005, the couple got announced their engagement. They married on November 19, 2005 and in November 2007 Aguilera confirmed her pregnancy. Their son was born on January 12, 2008.
