On the heels of her nasty divorce to Cook, 39, Christie Brinkley has said that she will never get married again. Brinkley, 54, reportedly said only a few hours after her divorce trial ended, "I’m not going to marry again. I know too much about the marriage laws and divorce laws. Getting married again would not be a very intelligent thing to do." Brinkley also said, "I’m free!"
Brinkley was awarded custody of the couple’s children - Jack, 13, and Sailor, 10. She agreed to pay Cook $2.1 million and in exchange she gets to keep all of their properties in the Hamptons. Brinkley said that she is "glad the ordeal is over" and joked that "it had to end" saying, "I was down to my last outfit."
The bitter divorce between the exes ended after a week of trial. During the trial Brinkley’s court appointed psychologist said that she needed to "start working on her deeper issues" including "her choice of male figures." She was married to artist Jean Francois Allaux from 1973-1981 and they reportedly divorced because they were too young to be married. She married singer Billy Joel in 1985 and divorced in 1994 amid rumors of his infidelity. The couple has one daughter, 22-year old Alexa Rae. Brinkley married developer Ricky Taubman later that year and they split nine months later. It was reported that Taubman misrepresented himself to Brinkley and they had numerous financial disputes. Brinkley and Cook were married in 1996 and split 10 years later after it was revealed that he had had an affair with his then 18-year old assistant, Diana Bianchi.
