Supermodel Christie Brinkley’s request for a restraining order against her ex-husband Peter Cook has reportedly been denied.

Brinkley filed the request in New York’s Suffolk County Court Wednesday. It has been reported that she was trying to prevent Cook from having a visitation with their children over the weekend following Cook’s interview with Barbara Walters set to air tomorrow night. His attorney said, "They wanted to suspend Cook’s visitation for this coming weekend because they had word that there was going to be an interview with Barbara Walters tomorrow evening with Mr. Cook and they didn’t want the children exposed to that." Brinkley’s request was denied, Cook has reportedly agreed to take the children out of town for the weekend. His attorney said, "On consent of the parties, the children would not be exposed to the interview. And on consent of the parties, Mr. Cook agreed to take the kids away for the weekend."
Cook’s interview with Walters will air tomorrow night. He is doing to interview because he says that he is "not the pervert" that he has been portrayed as by Brinkley. He defends his affair with his then 18-year old assistant and blames Brinkley for his straying. He said, "I wanted a little acknowledgement, a little attention, a little thank you every now and then for my efforts, for the amount of time I took to care for her and my family, for the wealth I was building."
Brinkley’s attorney said that Cook’s interview is in direct violation of the couple’s divorce settlement. Robert Stephen Cohen said, "It is shocking that Mr. Cook, after having his day in court, would continue this firestorm created by his bizarre behavior by violating an agreement and court order that prohibits either party from discussing their marriage or divorce in any way." The couple reached a settlement in their messy divorce in July and signed the final divorce decree on September 29. The couple has two children together – Jack, 13, and Sailor, 10.
