Christian Blog RSS and XML Feeds Promotion

Christian web advertising is something that is important for Christian webmasters. Nowadays most websites, especially Christian blog and content management systems (CMS), rely on content that is constantly updated. The content is designed to be syndicated by RSS and XML feeds, and these can be used to promote both your content (the gospel) and your website to all nations and the far corners of the earth.
Christian RSS and XML feeds from your Church or Ministry website can be picked up by Bloggers or by the new promotional tool of a Christian RSS feed directory. What such directories do is update classified content on a regular basis, in other words if the content was a radio station the feeds from Christian radio stations would be updated within the "Radio and TV" section of the directory. This works a bit like web based news services and is constantly updated with fresh content from its sources. So your latest ministry news is syndicated to a much larger audience. This moving or updated content is always "fresh" to the search engines and is not fixed like the old link directories, or like the more modern Christian article directory, which has static content like a book or catalogue.

You can therefore syndicate your Christian blog by finding out the address of your RSS or XML feed. Typically the address of your Blog or CMS feed might have a long and complex web address. If you click on the feed button (Rss or Xml) you might open it in your browser RSS reader. You can copy and paste (right click) your web address or url into a Christian RSS or blog feeds directory. This is done by the option "submit RSS feed", and then entering your feed url using the paste command.

These Christian rss and xml directories may accept normal links but these are inferior as they are not updated and can get buried in the updated news or rolling content.

Modern CMS systems such as open source "Joomla" also have the ability to pull in RSS and XML feeds from other sites to your site. You may wonder if this is legal, but the whole idea behind RSS is "Really Simple Syndication" which is what the letters stand for. Any RSS system should import the source graphic and credit the contributing site automatically and most actually do this if set up correctly.

For advanced users you can also use a service like "Feedburner". This system allows weblog owners and podcasters the ability to manage their RSS feeds and track usage of their subscribers, but this service is outside the scope of this article, and is only mentioned by way of reference, in that it tracks usage of your content.

So to promote your Christian Blog or ministry content management system or CMS you should submit the feeds to Christian RSS directories and any other trusted syndication sources. This will enable the content to reach further and promote the gospel to all those that will listen and to the far ends of the earth.
