Chris Rock Agrees to Paternity Test

Comedian Chris Rock has agreed to take a paternity test to see if he is the father of a journalist’s teenage son.

Last month, journalist Kali Bowyer came forward and told the tabloids that Rock is the father of her thirteen-year old son, Jordan. The boy is allegedly the product of a brief romance between Rock and Bowyer when they were friends in the early 1990’s. Bowyer has come forward and asked that Rock take the DNA test because her son suffers from seizures and she hopes that if Rock is the father, then something in his medical history can help doctor’s understand what is causing the seizures.

Reportedly, Bowyer has said she has tried to speak with Rock over the past ten-years about the fact that he might be the father of her son. She claims that he has not even acknowledged the fact until now. Bowyer insists that she is not interested in a "huge pay out" for herself but she does want help with medical care, child support, and lawyer’s fees if the test proves that Rock is the father. Bowyer initially filed the paternity suit in Georgia, but it was thrown out of the Georgia courts. Her lawyer suggested she file a suit closer to Rock so she filed a suit in New York. It seems to have done the trick. Rock has agreed to the DNA test and has filed papers to establish child support and visitation rights if her is the child’s biological father.

Rock has been married to his wife, Malaak, for the past ten-years. The couple has two daughters – Lola and Zahra. Recently it was reported that Rock and his wife were having marital problems. Sources claimed that he had fallen for his I Think I Love My Wife co-star Kerry Washington. Rock has vehemently denied reports that his marriage is anything but stable.
