Saturday Night Live alum Kattan, 37, and Tutt, 31, have reportedly called it quits after only two months of marriage. Jill Fritzo, Kattan’s rep said the couple is "separated for the moment." Fritzo added that there are "no plans for divorce at this time." No reason was given for the split.
The couple met at a birthday party and began dating in 2005. He wrote about Tutt on his website in August 2005, "She is so kind, sweet, and very beautiful. She’s also funny which is always a great thing. She’s also very much like me." He added, "She makes me very happy. It feels real and honest and I have more of a continuous smile than I ever have before." Kattan proposed to Tutt in 2006 at her grandmother’s home in Gainesville, Texas on Christmas Eve. The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Yosemite Valley, California on June 28, 2008.
Kattan was a member of the improv/sketch comedy troupe The Groundlings in Los Angeles before landing a job on Saturday Night Live. He was an SNL regular from 1995-2003 and best known for playing such characters as Mr. Peepers, Mango, and Doug Butabi. Kattan and fellow SNL star appeared as Steve and Doug Butabi, the head-bobbing brothers, in 1998’s A Night at the Roxbury. Kattan just wrapped the pilot episode of a new game show called "Game Show in my Head" and also voiced the character of Walter Melon in 2007’s Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters.
