Chris Brown's Legal Team Encountering Difficulties
An apparent strategy meeting was reportedly canceled by members of Brown's legal team and his next scheduled appearance is for his April 6 arraignment.
Rumors are swirling that there may be trouble brewing between Chris Brown and his legal team, which is headed by celebrity power attorney Mark Geragos. No one is commenting at the moment on why a scheduled strategy session was canceled and now there appear to be no plans for the group to meet again before Brown's arraignment on April 6. Originally, it was assumed that the arraignment date would be pushed back while Geragos worked out some sort of plea arrangement with the district attorney's office.
It remains unclear at this time exactly what type of evidence the DA is holding in the case and whether or not they feel strongly that they could get convictions on the two felony counts currently facing Brown. Everyone has seen the leaked photo of Rihanna's battered face and heard the accounts of the witnesses and friends that were close to the incident. But it's difficult to project how that information can be translated into legal evidence worthy of courtroom scrutiny.
In the wake of the incident, Brown has mostly been seen relaxing and apparently trying to steer clear of the media. He spent some time in Florida with Rihanna at P. Diddy's compound, but it's not entirely clear at this point where the relationship between the two stars stands. Initially, it appeared that they had gotten back together, but now things are a little murky. We'll all find out more on April 6 and beyond - should this case ever see the courtroom.
