Chris Brown and Rihanna Incident Started Over Text Message
Rumors are circulating that the argument resulting in Rihanna's injuries and Chris Brown's arrest started over a text Brown received.
The latest news to emerge from the troubling Chris Brown and Rihanna incident is that the altercation started after Brown received a text message from another woman while the two were riding in his car. It was at that point that the argument started, then Brown pulled the car over and things escalated.
Some reports are saying that Rihanna threw the keys out of the car and that Brown became enraged when he couldn't find them. Then he attacked the Barbados-born singer and strangled her until she was unconscious. During the struggle, Rihanna allegedly sustained a black eye and contusions to both sides of her head.
The investigation is still ongoing and both artists have canceled their upcoming performance dates. Police and prosecutors have said very little about the case, although it is expected that details of the high profile incident will continue to leak out over the coming days and weeks. Rihanna's family is said to be flying in from Barbados to be with her as she recovers.
Police presented their case to the district attorney this morning, but they were sent back out to gather more evidence. That may be an indication that they are going for a more serious charge or that the DA is worried about the legal dream team that prosecutors will likely face in court.
