Surgery: It is one of the most successful treatments for prostate problems. But this cannot be considered as option and it becomes mandatory in cases where tumor size is big. If the cancer cells have infected and got spread to the surrounding areas, then surgery is not possible.

Radio therapy: Radiations are used like x-ray, electron waves or gamma rays that damage the infected cells and stop them from multiplying. The advantage is that the patient does not feel pain. It is often used associated with surgery if the tumors have grown in one place.

Chemotherapy: This method is based on medicine that attacks and kills the cancer cells. Although there are chances of side-effects there are not many cases where side-effects were reported. It is highly recommended if the cancel cells have started spreading and have infected other areas also. They are also used to assist the surgical methods so as to ensure that no infected cells are spared in the body.

Other treatments for prostate cancer: Biological therapy: it uses proteins to initiate the immunity power of the body and produce enough of WBC. These WBC are otherwise called lymphocytes and have the ability to destroy the cancer cells.

It is highly recommended to undergo treatment without much delay so as to ensure that the spread of the infection is not very fatal. Follow the observations and advice of the doctors for treatments for prostate problems.

Prostate problems happen in a large percentage of men over the age of 50, so you should watch for symptoms if you are older. However, not all men with Prostate Problems are over fifty, so you should see a doctor if you notice these symptoms, regardless of your age.
