Choosing the Right Poker Chip Set

Are you in the market for a poker chip set? Make sure you know what your buying. Understand the shipping cost, and don't fall for gimmicks.
There are a lot of people selling poker chip sets out there. You want to make sure you get what you pay for. There are many methods used to sell them, and just as many scams to add profit to the sellers.

One of the biggest things about buying a poker chip set is shipping. Shipping costs are part of every business. There are a couple of ways to go about selling things in this market. The first is to include the shipping cost in your price and claim "free shipping!". There is no such thing. All online retailers have some sort of shipping cost, they can't deny that. The problem with offering that is your prices will be too high to compete.

The other, far better way, is to simply charge what you get charged by UPS, fed-ex, or USPS. It is a much more up front way to show your customer what they are paying for. You can also check to see that your shipping rates match up. Most companies will not charge extra in an attemp to make money, but some may. This is another reason to show shipping cost, it adds trust that the price is what is should be.

Keep in mind if your buying poker chip sets that they are a very heavy item and shipping cost can be high. (1000 pc poker chip set can weigh over 75lbs) If your thinking that you will just buy them at a brick and mortar store to save shipping...you wont. They still had to pay to get the product to the store, and they don't tell you what they paid.
