Chocolate Covered Pretzels

The first thought that bubbles in mind after hearing the word sweet is chocolate. Chocolate, famous among children’s is also all time favorite of youngsters and old age persons. Whether it’s a birthday party or a Valentine's Day everybody loves to enjoy parties with deer ones and if you now know that you can give chocolate parties then…! If you are planning to give chocolates to someone then what say about home made treats?

Chocolates are very expensive when you think of buying them for some one and here you will get a less expensive home made treat --chocolate-covered pretzels which can be proved a great fun for your family and friends. Chocolate covered pretzels can also be considered to be great gifts as they are very tasty. These are the quite easy and simple recipes to prepare.

Basic Preparation
If you are inclined to do the Chocolate covered pretzels, then some basic preparation is necessary. You can use this for any kind of Pretzels, you are looking for.

Place wax paper on a cookie sheet and be sure that there is room in the refrigerator for the sheet. Pour some chocolate chips in a bowl and microwave them for at least 30 seconds and stir repeatedly. Do again and again until the chocolate is melted.

Using pretzel rods, 9 inches long, roll and dip them in the chocolate. Once the pretzel is half covered in chocolate take it out and pour some sprinkles over it. Place the finished pretzels on the wax paper. Once the sheet is full keep it in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes or until the chocolate is solid.

It is better to use seasonal colors and sprinkles. It will not just add taste to your recipe but also add a decorative style with your own creativity then you can use plastic packages to cover the pretzels in, tie with ribbon and well, your gift is ready.

Chocolate Covered Mini Pretzels:

Ingredients
All you first need is 1 bag of mini pretzels, Almond bark candy coating, which can be either white vanilla or dark chocolate, 1/2 tablespoon of shortening, and nonpareils, sugar crystals, chopped nuts, sprinkles for decorations.

Procedure
Lay a piece of waxed paper on a cookie sheet. Melt shortening and 6 squares of the almond bark, on low heat in small saucepan. Mix them well until melted and becomes smooth. With a 2-prong fork, start dipping pretzels (dip one at a time) in the chocolate until coated. Shudder to shed off excess chocolate. Set them on waxed paper.

Now, it is time for decoration! Spray your choice of decorations on top. Coat pretzels until you use all the melted almond bark. Let us keep them for setting so that chocolate can harden. Your Chocolate covered mini pretzels are ready to offer your loved ones! Store them in an airtight container. If you are intended to make these in summer vacations then don’t forget to keep them in refrigerator to harden and better durability.

Chocolate covered Peanuts and Pretzels:

Ingredients
First of all, you have to gather Chocolate Candy Quick, Peanuts and Pretzels. Keep ready your wax paper and cookie sheet.

Procedure
Put the peanuts and pretzels in a bowl and start blending them and smash the pretzels into pieces. Melt the chocolate Candy Quick by keeping them in microwave oven frequently and stir to make it smooth. Once, you have molten the chocolate candy quick, then put the Candy Quick into the bowl to mix it with the peanuts and pretzels. Subsequently, take that mixture and place it on a cookie sheet with wax paper. At the end keep the sheet in the refrigerator and let cool until it gets harden.

Coconut chocolate pretzel sticks

Ingredients
Be ready with the things required as dark Chocolate, semisweet, Pretzel sticks, Shredded sweetened coconut, Cookie sheet and Wax paper.

Procedure
At the start, melt chocolate and dip a three fourth length of the pretzel stick into this melted chocolate. Then coat it with coconut. Place sticks on a sheet of wax paper on top of a cookie sheet. Place this sheet of wax paper in microwave oven at a temperature of 400ºF. Remove it from oven once coconut becomes a light brown.

Place the sheet in refrigerator for the purpose of setting and hardening. Your treat is ready!

Once you start doing all these at home and become quite versed in it, then you can modify the ingredients according to your creativity and power of experimentation.
