Easter is the time for renewal - of spirit and faith. It ushers in a vision of his omniscient presence in our lives. Easter lilies, eggs and the dear Easter Bunny are part of earthly celebrations that reflect the joy of forgiveness.
A time to spare healing thought and pray,
Ring in Easter, in deed and word construe,
The power of his resurrection and lit way.
He rose that all who care to believe and trust
May envision the glow of His heavenly plan;
And in unison offer new, rejuvenating thrust,
To enlightenment beyond caste, creed or clan.
Easter is the time for bunnies 'n Easter egg,
It is time for jocund spirit to dance and sing;
Easter is more than lilies or white wine keg,
It resonates with reverberant, hymnal zing.
Treasure hunts, celebrations and lively tunes,
Gathering in uplifted spirit and silent prayer;
Colorful baskets and ribbon, strung balloons,
And yummy eggs all laid out by each stair.
Easter is the Lord's promise of another day,
It soothes the repercussion of every affront,
It is here to refresh faith and in blessed spray,
Speak of His love through bunnies and hunt.
He died and rose to help believe and know
That we have hope in His bounty and grace
The Lord walked the difficult path to show
Supremacy of pious intent and warm embrace.
