China Confines the Use of Olympics Gold Medalist’s Name Online
China confines the use of Olympics gold medalist’s name on line..
China has strictly banned the use of its Olympics gold medalists name in the "URL-Address" of internet based websites by any one but the gold medalist’s themselves.
The move was ignited after Chinese authorities started receiving innumerable calls for action against the companies who have fraudulently registered the names of athletes who have won the gold at Beijing Olympics.
" This move will safe guard the interests of athletes on Internet." said an envoy from Chinese authorities .
This ruling would be binding to all the web address’s that pertains to China (.cn), but would be rendered "void " in other countries.
The Chinese authorities have cited the names of all the gold medalist in a list to the premier hosting company , and directing to register all the domain names matching with all the possible permutations of a "players name".
The people who have already registered the domain names have been benignly requested to return them to a designated athlete "as a gift".

" The key word in the domain of a website plays a key role in search engine rankings. I feel that’s a commendable move by the Chinese authorities, especially for the sports fans , who can enjoy the original website of their favorite sport’s "icons". " said the Web Marketing Geek, Miracle Studios.
