Child's Death
About a child’s last hour…
A child stands alone
No one home
Staring at a knife
Sick of all life’s strife
She sits there crying
As she thinks about dying
Everything was wrong
It wouldn’t take long
She willed hand to grab the knife
Wanting to hurry and end her life
She stared at the blood in wonder
Outside she thought she heard thunder
Everything started getting dim
Still she wanted this sin
She fell back upon her bed
Her eyes feeling like lead
In walked her sister
She strolled over and kissed her
As her sister walked out
The child tried to shout
As the lights grew dimmer
Everything started to shimmer
So this is what its like to die
At least she didn’t try
She thought as she laid
Everything seemed to fade
No one home
Staring at a knife
Sick of all life’s strife
She sits there crying
As she thinks about dying
Everything was wrong
It wouldn’t take long
She willed hand to grab the knife
Wanting to hurry and end her life
She stared at the blood in wonder
Outside she thought she heard thunder
Everything started getting dim
Still she wanted this sin
She fell back upon her bed
Her eyes feeling like lead
In walked her sister
She strolled over and kissed her
As her sister walked out
The child tried to shout
As the lights grew dimmer
Everything started to shimmer
So this is what its like to die
At least she didn’t try
She thought as she laid
Everything seemed to fade
