In a competition of out doing one haveli from the other, the merchants took every step and left no stone unturned.
One such remarkable haevli of Rajasthan is located in Laxmangarh - the Chetram Sanganeeria Haveli. The beautiful mansion is situated st the first intersection south of the Radhi Murlimanohar Temple. Laxmangarh is located at a distance of 190 Km. from Jaipur. The exquisite haveli is lovingly adorned with beautiful paintings that are based on theme of British period in India. Thought the paintings might not have able to stand the tests of time yet their sight is beautiful. They show signs of Rajasthani mastery and artistic creation.
Architecture of the Haveli
The paintings of the haveli exhibit different stratas of social cosmos. One painting here has a depiction of a swinging woman, while the other has painting of men toiling in the fields, sawing timber, riding on a Ferris Wheel or dancing on a pole balancing knives. The walls and ceilings of the halls have been covered with paintings which attract many tourists. The tourists, the globetrotters, the connoisseurs, all love to explore the treasures of history. The unique craftsmanship of Rajasthani artisans is reflected floral swirls to motifs of the paintings.
