Do you love the taste of cheese on bread? Do you need a mesmerizing flavor of cheese in the morning? Is your breakfast incomplete without yummy cheese buns? Then you are in luck! Scroll down to find awesome, easy to make and delectable cheese buns recipes.

First, we can whip up some cheese buns and then we can graduate to evolving it further.

To bake a cheese bun you will need:
  • 140ml water
  • 200g bread flour
  • 20g corn flour
  • 14g sugar
  • 4g salt
  • 20g butter
  • 4g dry yeast
  • 80g cheese (mozarella cheese, cheddar cheese or any type of cheese that you like)
Once you have acquired all your ingredients, take a breath and smile. Remember, when you cook, your emotions get whipped in the batter too.

Now let's start the preparation:
  • Add the water, bread flour, corn flour, sugar, salt, dry yeast, and butter into bread machine, set to dough cycle, and start the bread machine.
  • Once it is done, take the dough out and punch down air (punching down air may be more fun than you imagined).
  • Make 8 portions. Let it lie for 10 - 15 minutes (you could use this time to go through the rest of the recipe, so that you are mentally prepared).
  • Roll each portion of dough on your hand. Then place the cheese on it and shape it into a rugby ball (although you could try putting it in any other shape too, creativity knows no bounds!).
  • Soak the bread in the corn flour and make a tiny cut in the middle of the bread surface with a knife. Let it rise double
  • Bake at 180º for about 12 - 15 minutes
So, now that you have mastered the art of making cheese buns, lets graduate to a higher level. My personal favorite is onion, bacon and cheese buns. It's no secret, it is unnaturally easy to make.

Starting with the dough, we will need:
  • 3/4 cup water.1/2 cup milk.
  • 1/4 cup butter.
  • 1/4 cup honey.
  • 1 egg (beaten).
  • 3 1/2 - 4 cups flour.
  • 4 tsp instant yeast.
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt.
Now, for the filling we shall need:
  • 1/2 cup butter.
  • 1/3 cup green onion.
  • 1/3 cup white/yellow onion.
  • 1 tbsp garlic (minced).
  • 2/3 cup cooked crispy chopped bacon.
  • 2 1/2 cups Gruyere cheese.
Now, we start making the magic (I believe, being able to make palatable food is nothing less than magic):

First we make the dough. For that heat the water and milk in a saucepan until the butter melts (do not boil). Pour the concoction into a bowl and let it cool. Add some honey and 1 1/2 cups flour; mix until smooth (lumps can ruin your bread). Add egg and yeast and mix until smooth (remember, no lumps). Let it sit for 15 minutes, uncovered.

When the time is up, add salt and 1 cup of flour. Slowly, pour the dough onto a flour covered surface. Add the remaining flour until it is no longer sticky. Knead it for about 8 - 10 minutes. Place it in a greased bowl, cover it and let it rise in warm place for about an hour.

While the dough is rising, melt the butter for the filling in a saucepan. Add garlic and saute it for a little while. Cook the onions until they are tender and transparent. Add in the bacon and stir it until ready. Set it aside to cool.

After the dough has risen, pour it onto a floured surface. Punch down into a small rectangle and roll out to a 12×24 inch rectangle. Pour the filling evenly onto the dough, leaving about 1/2 inch around all edges. Sprinkle half of the cheese on top of the filling.

Fold 1/2 inch of the dough on the edges. Roll the dough lengthwise into a swiss roll. Close the seam by pinching it with your fingers. Cut the swiss roll into 16 pieces. Place each piece into a lightly greased tin. Cover with a towel and let it rise for another hour. When they have doubled in size, sprinkle it with the remaining cheese and bake at 350ºF for 15 - 20 minutes. They will need to be left in the tins for 5 minutes. Get them out to cool, preferably on a wire rack.

Phew!! Wow, it looks great and smells great! Once it's a little cooler we can taste it and prove that it tastes great too! Looks like my work here is done! Now you may enjoy it with your family and friends, share it with a few unexpected people too, it's worth bragging about!
