- Next you'll need music which is the simplest thing to find. If you don't want to waste money in buying DVDs, all you can do is download the kind of music you want for the party and play the CD in your player. If you have a laptop, you can simply download it and save it as your party playlist.

- If it's your kid you're planning the party for, you might as well hold it at your home instead of spending on any other location.
- Fix up a menu of affordable foods like sandwiches, cupcakes, fruit juice, ice candies, etc and invest an entire day making these at home while your baby is at school. Bake your child's favorite cake with frosting and candies.
- If you have some Christmas decorations like streamers and balloons, put them up on the walls. Paint a huge poster saying "Congratulations" or "Happy birthday" and hang it around the center table.
- Since it's a kids' party, plan for some party games that they can play to keep it happening and fun.
- If the party is well inside your budget, buy a nice gift for your kid to add to his joy.
