Cheap Centerpiece Ideas

Although centerpieces make the party decorations attractive and interesting, they are expensive. So, to reconcile the two, here are a few cheap centerpiece ideas you can use.
Funding a wedding ceremony can make an irreparable hole in your pocket. A 'cheap wedding' may seem like an oxymoron to you. However, if you plan well, you may save a few bucks for a much worthy moment. The little things that make the wedding scene look picture perfect can make or break your wedding budget, for instance, wedding centerpieces. Wedding centerpieces are massively expensive but if you look for reasonable alternatives, they can be huge cost savers too. Come to think of it, all those exotic flowers, vases, ribbons, meters and meters of tulle set over at least a hundred tables just for a couple of hours, is a waste!

Instead you can save this amount and spend it on your wedding dress or the first installment of your house. Centerpieces are not just required for weddings but for baby showers, thanksgivings, family get-togethers or even if you are planning a romantic dinner with your partner. The food and the occasion is something you'd want to spend more on, than a few exorbitant centerpieces.

Floral Centerpieces
The best way of saving on floral centerpieces is to go with seasonal flowers. Buy a few pots (plastic or glass, depending on your budget) and cover them with moss or ivy. Add a few small white roses to it et voila, your centerpiece is ready! Such centerpieces are easy to make, good to look at and inexpensive! What more can you ask for?!

Candles as Centerpieces
Bring out all the used and never-to-be used candles that you have. If they are out of shape, use a sandpaper and a knife to get them back in shape. Make sure all the candles are of the same size. Place the candles in a high ball glass (one candle per glass) and light them up. Use them as ideas for easy thanksgiving or Valentine's day centerpieces; the choice is yours! For making floating candle centerpieces, take a bowl half filled with water, add a few petals to it (of any flower) and lightly place a floating candle on it. Easy?

Balloon Bouquets
Baby showers are another occasion which demands for centerpieces. Balloon bouquets are affordable centerpieces for a baby shower. Pink for girls and blue for boys and colored balloon bouquets if you don't know the gender of the unborn baby yet. Helium balloons are the cheapest and they look attractive. Tie them with ribbons and let them hover around your guests. You can also make small fruit baskets as centerpieces. Since they are edible, you don't have to worry about disposing them. Moreover, fruit baskets can be used as refreshments too.

Centerpieces are predominantly required at weddings. You can make wedding centerpieces, out of photographs of the bride and the groom, dried twigs and fresh flowers, wine goblets or tissue paper crafts too. Centerpieces or table decorations make the decor vibrant and cheerful. They give the party a personal touch and manage to silently say a lot about the host. In a practical sense, centerpieces are a way of recycling too (where else would you use the dried twigs from your garden or the used candles?!). Have fun!
