A young girl cautiously scooted across the flaming orange and red. Her father had told her never to explore past the forest, into what people called the Entrance to the Dark Lands. Ominous people lived here her father said, ones that would kill to capture her and torture her til her heart bled and her body was mangled like a rag doll shredded by a three headed dog. Such words you might think would never be said between a little girl and her father. But this family was different. And this girl was different too. She did not scream at the thought of being captured and tortured too pulp of non existing dust, her father’s words only made her more curious as to what kind of people would do such a gruesome thing. So she crawled across this burning land and ignored the searing pain it brought to her face.

Her mother had also said that someday she would acquire powers that would allow her to explore the open waters and that she was the only cure to the war among nations. To think of these powers and to unite with the generation of all people. She remembered how her mother had died in the water. And now as she looked at it she hated it. A part of her wanted to become part of it just like her mother had, and a part of it wanted to destroy and pollute the unruly waters.
