Chapters 4 to 6 - Wandering
So sorry it took this long but had really bad GF troubles and GCSE work. Hope you like this chapter (I'm going to finish this now BTW as I'm getting into it).
Chapter 4 - Wandering
She saw him running from a long way off. This confused her most, as it seemed like he was running from something, but he never changed direction. It wasn't like he was a threat to her, or even a good sight. She had already accepted everyone was dead; this was more to satisfy boredom than anything else.
The girl in question was named Samantha; she was roughly five foot six, 13 years old with black hair that seemed to emit darkness and radiant bright blue eyes that seemed completely out place with her hair. Her features were all sharp and drastic as if she had been designed to stand out no matter where she went. Cause she had stood out, she had always been left out and then couple this with neglecting parents who never really cared, this created her into a cold-hearted person.
However this factor was no longer a hindrance but a blessing in this new world. As unlike the other two she hadn't panicked but merely ticked through her options. Survive - this was the option she had found herself left with.
Holding this new objective she first secured herself a place to live, she settled for a two story house as it had a large garden that she planned to grow food from. Next was to get her hands on some lasting food, mainly tins as they were always best she was told. These, she found by looting through the surrounding suburbs. The final thing for now was water; all together she had about eighteen bottles of the stuff but no continuous supply. Testing the taps she found there was still some running water, so she began filling mugs, cups, jugs whatever she could find to hold as much as she could.
Finally she allowed herself some time to rest, so she decided to bring a chair into the front lawn and try to get some sleep. She had no idea how loud someone running could sound after true silence. But sound there was, and following it was the boy. As mentioned it was confusion that she felt more than anything, though deep down she could feel the tug on her heart that she might not be alone; she buried this quickly.
So silently she watched him pass her, following him with those bright eyes. But he kept running all the way down the street till the end. That's when James realized something was wrong and he stopped dead in his tracks and slowly pivoted on his feet till he was facing back down the street. The hair, it was the hair he noticed first, followed by the eyes even though he was well over one hundred meters away. James felt them pierce him and look into his heart feeling fear from the small girl. Before he collapsed from exhaustion...

Will James get any answers and who is the new girl? Some more information, with lots more coming in following chapters.

Pillows. Why was he holding pillows? James never really slept, so the times when he did, he just fell asleep wherever he was, be that school, his home or even the street. But finding himself in a bed was definitely something that hadn’t happened since he was about five. Though surprisingly he found he quite liked it.
However that didn’t explain why he was in a bed, he didn’t even own one, and it’s just... THE GIRL! If James wasn’t awake he was now. Where did she go, who was she? So many questions he needed answering. Firstly what’s happened? Where did everyone go? Was there still anyone else?
With no time to waste James leaped out of bed and was then surprised to find he had been relived of his clothes. So this was how he stood when she walked in. Again it was the hair he noticed first, after the eyes. It was the eyes he realized was what scared him the most, the eyes that saw everything. After the initial shock he noticed she was holding his clothes in her hands. Silently without breaking eye contact, she placed the clothes on the chair in the corner of the room and the walked out.
It was only once she had left that James realized he had been holding his breath and was completely tense. With a long sigh he relaxed his body and wondered how the world was now more complicated with less people was then it was before with billions?
As he looked towards where she placed his clothes he finally took in the room around him. It was pretty basic, blue wallpaper, a dresser next to the door, the bed was a simple single and two windows on the wall on the right of the bed. He picked up his clothes and realized she must have washed them as they gave off the sweet chemical smell.
He put the clothes and set his priorities up. Firstly see if this girl knows anything about what has been happening. Secondly was get some food and drinks sorted out. The last thing was the find the source of the hope. He knew it wasn’t her that had cause him to regain hope, it was simple enough just standing around her. But if he now knew there were at least three people left, how many more were there?

Chapter 6 - Silence
Can James get the girl to believe him?
******************************************************************
Once James was ready, he walked down the stairs and there she was again. Looking out of the window into the road as if waiting for someone to pass by. Through the window he could see the dead world outside and felt the sadness pass through him once again. Why had this all happened? Why had the world, so vibrant and full of life one day suddenly turned in a place of silence, death and bitter misery for those who were left behind... But who was left behind?
That reminded him, "What’s your name?"
"Samantha." She replied her voice sounding as dead as the world outside. He waited for her to ask for his name he decided to just tell her.
"Well my name’s James, so is this your house then?"
"No, I found the front door unlocked."
"So you just walked in?" Sounding a little shocked.
"I don’t think the owners care, seeing as they are all dead." With this she turned around and had a look on her face of some kind of smile. James didn’t know if it was the care free attitude she said the sentence with or the smile she gave him that sent the shivers down his spine. So he decided to be quiet.
It was only a few minutes later that he noticed she had said what he feared the most. "So you think everyone else is dead then?"
"Yes, why where do you think they have gone?"
"I don’t know, just... they can’t all be..."
"Dead? Well look outside and tell me what you think." James looked at her in some kind of awe, even him of all people wasn’t this detached from humanity.
"Well why are you looking outside then if you're not expecting to see anything."
"Well, I wasn’t expecting to see you, so what do I really know?" This time glaring at him for somehow trying to defeat her logic. It was at this he remembered about the other person.
"There’s another person out there somewhere."
"How do you know?" She looked at him as you would a child, with bemusing interest.
"I can feel him." He answered simply.
"You can feel him?" Now she said it as if he was an idiot, "You're kidding right?"
"No, I’m not at all, I heard his scream, it’s still emitting hope." James realized too late how stupid he was making this sound.
"Er, ok... Before this, were you on medication at all?" The seriousness of this told James she wasn’t joking.
"No! I’m not on drugs, I never was! Trust me, please!"
"You can’t really expect me to just listen to you and go do you?"
"One chance, it’s not far from here I’m sure." She sat there and turned around again thinking for a few minutes.
Samantha at first had decided the boy might have been useful, he seemed smart enough, but now she was generally worried he was crazy and by looking at him she knew he could beat her in any fight. Well it’s better for her to simply appease him than join the recent dead she supposed.
"Ok, I’ll come with you." And with this she held out her hand to shake his. He took it and something passed between them and a smile formed on both their lips.
